I saw a couple of photos of local fires. Any idea whether they were due to natural gas lines leaking or propane tanks? I've been hesitant to get gas here on the coast for that very reason. Even propane tanks can turn into floating bombs in a storm.
Port St Joe has natural gas lines throughout. I have no idea if the fires were accidental or arson. We are fine, we have a roof over our heads in Tallahassee and will have our home repaired. If you haven’t, say a prayer for the truly hard-hit who lost everything. Most of these people live paycheck to paycheck and lost what little they had.
We’ll know better tomorrow when friends who also own property on the Cape said they will check out our place and send photos. Fingers crossed.
Considering the ENORMOUS fed/state response, I’m hopeful we’ll be back home with at least elect power within a month if not sooner.
To Repeal the 17th, four wheel drive vehicles can get around Stump Hole if the tide isn’t too high.
