A professor has claimed that Sir Winston Churchill was a 'clear racist' in a heated debate in which Piers Morgan asked him: 'Why do you live in a country that you loathe?'
Kehinde Andrews clashed with Good Morning Britain presenter Piers as he claimed that Britain was 'built on racism' and that 'everyone involved in it probably has a really racist past'.
The academic, a professor of black studies at Birmingham City University, also compared Britain's war-time Prime Minister to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler for his treatment of Indians when the country endured a famine in 1943.
Mr Andrews's views on Churchill and Britain were disputed by Mr Morgan, who asked him why he had not moved away from the country he 'clearly hates'.

I guess that’s what you learn in “black studies” program.
What career does that qualify you for?
Probably one of the many ‘diversity’ positions.
..street agitator... Like Odungo
Leftist spout this nonsense and think everyone will buy in.
Good for Piers.
Maybe we’ll get a conservative out him after all.
I think I’m becoming more of a Proud Boy daily.
Yet the same people condemning Churchill praise and worship murderous thugs like Castro, Che, Nelson and Winnie Mandela.
Who accomplished nothing but slaughter, torture, enslavement and death.
The UK seems to be even further down the road of post-modern lunacy than we are.
The British were brutal. During the revolution they raped a very large number of American women.
Probably didn’t treat India so great.
What’s the got to do with the present and being responsible for one’s own life and stop blaming everything on stuff that happened generations ago?
Good for Piers.
Was not the English Navy critical in stopping the slave trade? Just askin, Amazing Grace and all that.
Amazing Grace is the best hymn ever written.
“Mr Andrews’s views on Churchill and Britain were disputed by Mr Morgan, who asked him why he had not moved away from the country he ‘clearly hates’.”
Our astronaut Scott Kelly did.
Wikipedia article about the April 13, 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre (also known as the Amritsar massacre):
Col Reginald Dyer ordered British Army soldiers to fire into the crowd of Indian men, women, and children. Crowd size estimates range from 6000 - 20000. Death total estimates range from 200-1000 and around 1500 injured.
Yeah their history is glossed over in this country to an extent.
They WERE brutally cruel during the Revolution and Mel Gibson’s movie about the war was a LOT more accurate than people want to admit.
They did burn a church with people locked inside.
I just don’t get how that matters to a person in the present crying about oppression that happened a long time ago.
And NOT to them.
“The British were brutal. During the revolution they raped a very large number of American women.”
Where did you read that?
They went socialist just after WWI, if I recall. So, yes. They were more accessible to Russian Marxist influencers than we were; Marx lived in London when he was coming up with his theories, and there was a big Socialist movement there among the intelligentsia like George Bernard Shaw and others, called the Fabian Socialists. If you read James Joyce's autobiographical novel Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man, he describes the communist radicals at the universities around the time of the Soviet Revolution 100 years ago, saying the same tripe today's Octavia Dunderhead-Cortez and others are still spouting today.
If you want to understand where liberals in this country are headed, just look across the pond...
