Col Reginald Dyer ordered British Army soldiers to fire into the crowd of Indian men, women, and children. Crowd size estimates range from 6000 - 20000. Death total estimates range from 200-1000 and around 1500 injured.
Yeah their history is glossed over in this country to an extent.
They WERE brutally cruel during the Revolution and Mel Gibson’s movie about the war was a LOT more accurate than people want to admit.
They did burn a church with people locked inside.
I just don’t get how that matters to a person in the present crying about oppression that happened a long time ago.
And NOT to them.
