As I write this column, the GOP has won the most brutal political battle in history. Brett Kavanaugh has been confirmed to the Supreme Court. President Trump wins again.
Here are the lessons and winners of this epic, historic battle.
First, America always does the right thing
but only after exhausting every other option.

Excellent article. Definitely worth the entire read. It’s nice to be able to say something good about Gateway Pundit for a change.
The only one’s brawling were the street thugs trying to govern this country by Soviet tactics and mob rule.
Guilt first, trial later!!
i don’t know about that.
I noticed that quite a few people who i know that are “independents”, as well as those that are Trump supporters, were quick to the draw this time around to say:
“WHAT A BUNCH OF BULL ####!!!”
Even at work, where denying a possible grope from 90 years ago is still ground for firing.
Trump had or has made a tough group of folks supporting him.
I know i didn’t pull any punches when it came to this topic.
Trump says what we think and then it doesn’t seem so bad when you say it to others yourself :)
Its the articles author.

The other side is not going to quit because of the devastating stuff that’s going to come out about the deep-state coup, the FBI, and the Obama DOJ. They have to try to keep the attention on the Kavanaugh-is-a-rapist myth as long as they can.
Trump played it perfectly, thanks to his innate sense of showmanship. He made appropriate noises about the “victim” and called for the FBI to do a quick but thorough investigation. Had he ridiculed her or resisted Flakes stupid idea, it would have blown up in his face and all of a sudden it would be about HIM again. Instead he “acted Presidential” and kept his powder dry, until he was in his element, a rally, and then after they had a pretty good read on the vote, he parrotted her own words in a humourous way. We loved it of course, but all the other side could do was sputter and get triggered, but none of it helped them in the end. Trump became the target temporarily so Senators could fuss and fume and vote to confirm anyway. But it galvanized the Republican base, and that’s the prize his eye was on all the time.
Democrats were stunned.
They expected Republicans to fold like cheap suits, to give in and to slink away with their tails tucked between their legs.
What they did not expect was for Republicans to win and for them to be beaten.
Americans love winners and they hate losers.
The GOP benefits from being the alpha dog. A good place to be in facing the mid-terms.
Great article. Thanks for posting!
The weekend reminded me of Predator vs Alien.
The helmeted hunters beat the viscoid slime thugs.
Kavanaugh won the popular vote.
To each his own.
I prefer GP to most of the “conservative” sites full of hoity-toity Neocons.
Oh that explains why Obama was elected twice. Okay
Good one from Mr. Root.
