Sarah Palin to Murkowski after Kavanaugh vote: 'I can see 2022 from my house' ...
Palin's tweet looks like a succinct suggestion that she'll challenge Murkowski when she's up for re-election in four years. It's not hard to imagine, either, because the senator and the ex-governor have history. Palin is the woman who, in 2006, defeated Murkowski's father in a Republican primary to become the first female governor of Alaska. Frank Murkowski had served just one term as governor after a long stint in the Senate, though he actually appointed his daughter to fill his seat when he won the governorship in 2002.

Sarah Palin plans to leave Alaska

Someone up on recent AK history...
Was it Daddy Murk’s purpose in running for governor to be able to appoint Princess Murk to “his” Senate seat in order to keep the dynasty rolling?
3 years until the campaign begins-4 years until the election. Don’t hold your breath. Her best opportunity on our behalf was 2016. We could have avoided all this Kavanaugh crap had she earned enough money which I’m sure she did. She’s now out for herself.
“Sarah Palin plans to leave Alaska.”
If so, Bristol, Willow or Track can run for the seat.
I like the taunt. If Murkowski were up in 2020 I think it would affect her vote. By voting to keep the court down to 8 members it would leave Alaska subject to the 9th circuit court of appeals-the whacko one.
Washington is a good snowbird destination.
Palin has indicated they are preparing to leave Alaska now
that the last daughter has completed schooling. However
being tied to a senator position between where ever they
decide to move to and DC doesn’t sound like it is in their
plans at this time. JMO
As nice as that would be if it could happen, I think it was just a taunt. I seem to remember Murk & Palin being political adversaries even though of the same party. Murk being a member of the Alaskan “Corrupt Bastards Club” and Palin being a pre-Trumpian Alaskan Trump (without the money!) - meaning a reformer. I hear Palin no longer has the following up there she once had & her kids are a PR problem. Then throw the recent statement that she’s leaving Alaska, so its likely just a taunt!
Well, if she were Senator she’d be in Washington. Still, 2022 seems an awfully long time to start planning a Senate race.
>>>Sarah Palin plans to leave Alaska. If so, Bristol, Willow or Track can run for the seat.
Bristol is living in Texas, Track just got sent to jail this week after his third domestic violence incident, and I don’t think Willow will be age eligible.
“Bristol is living in Texas, Track just got sent to jail this week after his third domestic violence incident, and I dont think Willow will be age eligible.”
Won’t Track be out of the Alaska prison by 2022?
All testosterone aside, I suspect Palin wasn’t necessarily referring to herself as a 2022 candidate for Murky’s seat.

Harsh, and probably correct.
(And by “herself”, I’ll assume you mean herself and her family. Nothing wrong with that. But Palin never became the heroine many of us hoped she’d be.)
Palin has too much baggage, however undeserved. We don’t need,to provide fodder for the Left, however bogus that fodder is.

I’m surprised Palin waited this long.
She could have easily won in 2016
Palin's days in elective politics are behind her. I don't think she was ever truly prepared for the merciless attacks on her reputation and family that she endured in 2008, made even worse by her own running mate leaving her to twist in the wind. I doubt she'll subject herself to this again.
She would have all the money she needs.
Agreed. Palin is just fine where she is, commenting from the sidelines.
Her best path if she wants back in would be something like Secretary of Energy. Some lower level cabinet post.
