SEOUL (Reuters) - Japan should refrain from flying the “Rising Sun” flag on a warship in a fleet review planned in South Korea next week, a North Korean propaganda website said on Friday, joining South Koreans in the latest spat over the countries’ colonial history.
...“The ‘Rising Sun’ flag is a war-crime flag that the 20th-century Japanese imperialists used when executing their barbaric invasions into our nation and other Asian nations,” North Korea’s state-controlled Uriminjokkiri website said. “Planning to enter flying the ‘Rising Sun’ flag is an unbearable insult and ridicule to our people.”

They should fly their official country flag.
We dont fly flags other than our official national flag when representing the country. We dont fly battle flags unless in the middle of a war.
The JMSDF will refuse to participate rather than take down their Naval Ensign. And they should.
It’s a cooler flag.
The Japanese love beer, been drinking it for hundreds of years. One of the things they have in common with Americans. As for their self-defense forces, they've been flying the rising sun ensign since 1954 and America had no problem with it (because we kicked their a$$ and took orders from us). Koreans will just have to suck it up, because an alliance with Japan will save them from domination by China later on.

I found there was a big group of Swedish tourists at the hotel I’m in at the moment. I really wanted to get into the whole Muslim refugee discussion with them, but it was late and I was very tired, and just wanted my nightcap.
And the Japanese are talking about modifying their constitution to allow more of a military. They see what China is doing and aren’t idiots. They also see what Trump is doing to encourage NATO countries to increase military spending, and realize they can’t depend on us to protect them forever.
The point being, I agree, the Europeans are much more pussified. It won’t end well.
