The Minnesota DFL Party's attempt to find a law enforcement agency willing to investigate a domestic abuse claim against U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison was mired in uncertainty on Wednesday, after the Minneapolis Police Department said it would seek to refer the case to another jurisdiction.
Earlier Wednesday, the DFL asked Minneapolis police to investigate the allegation after both a city attorney and a county prosecutor declined to review a report the party commissioned that did not substantiate the allegation.
"Due to a conflict of interest, or the appearance of a conflict of interest, the Minneapolis Police Department will not be handling the matter involving Congressman Keith Ellison," read a police statement. "The Minneapolis Police Department is in communication with other law enforcement agencies who we may refer this case to."

The conflict is that the creep is a muzzy, and minneapolis cops defend muzzies because one of their own, a muzzy, murdered an innocent human woman.

Didn’t I read that there was a 911 call on record? If so, what agency responded, and where’s the police report?
That’s the agency that should have done the investigation.
MPD already cashed the bribery check.
It would appear that everyone in Minneapolis is afraid of Keith. Not just his victims.
The cops aren’t afraid of Ellison.
They’re afraid of his constituents.
The conflict is that muzzle Allison has son on the city council.
There are plenty of options.
If there is a conflict that’s exactly what they should do, unless you are West Somalia MN

That was then. This is now. And it’s alarming and outrageous! How about the county sheriff or the State Police? Or, absurd as it sounds, the FBI, since he’s a member of Congress. This woman needs to find a sympathetic judge, and file suit against the MPD.
Is Minnesota still one of the 50 states or is it gone now? Sounds like it belongs to Canada.
