Sen. John Kennedy R-La., introduced legislation Tuesday to prohibit federal contracts with banks that end business with other lawful businesses over social policy.
The topic became a hot button issue last spring when Bank of America and Citigroup announced that they would end banking relationships with gun manufacturers or retailers that sold certain semi-automatic weapons similar to ones used in mass shootings of civilians.
“It’s very simple, it just says that we can’t issue contracts to banks that decide they want to make social policy,” Kennedy told the Washington Examiner.

Get rid of all the other senators, and just make it a one senator senate, with Kennedy doing it all.

Excellent idea. I closed my BofA account of more than 10 years over this. I will not do business with gun grabbers.
Seems like a good, rational reg. Hope it passes...but it probably won’t. The big banks control too much of society through political contributions and lobbyists.

We live on the border of TX and LA and I’ve been watching this guy for years on TV. He’s a real trouble maker for liberals. I always claimed they made him a US senator just to get him out of LA state politics LOL!
I’ve always considered him to be presidential material.

This kind of gets buried in all of the other news. Would be great to see something like this approved.
I’d prefer they do something real: Like pull their banking charter based on lack of community service. Put them out of business! What would the dims do?
