Graham: Investigate 'Despicable' Rollout of Kavanaugh Allegations

Sen. Lindsey Graham on Sunday declared he’ll call for an investigation of the Democrats’ rollout of Christine Blasey Ford’s sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, calling it “a despicable process.”

In an interview on ABC News’ “This Week,” the South Carolina Republican asserted there was a betrayal of Ford’s trust in leaking her initial confidential accusation.

“Who in [California Democrat Sen. Dianne] Feinstein's office betrayed her trust?” Graham said. “Why Dr. Ford didn't know we were willing to come to California. We'll do a wholesale investigation of what I think was a despicable process."

Graham added that he also hoped an investigation would reveal “who referred Dr. Ford to a lawyer that was a political activist” and whether anyone on the Senate Judicial Committee sent the letter to the media “so the hearing would be delayed.”

“Words were put in his mouth that he didn't say,” he added. “He's accused of being a gang rapist. A bumbling, stumbling drunk. A degenerate person. He was hit by a truck. My problem is with the people who did this to him, not how he responded. I've known him for 20 years. We'll get to the bottom of how he was treated, and why.”

Graham also reiterated his intention to vote for Kavanaugh absent a “bombshell” uncovered by the FBI as it investigates the allegation.

Ford’s trust was never betrayed. She’s been in on this from the beginning. Whole thing is an elaborate setup to stop Kavanaugh. They probably have plans in motion for other potential nominees as well.

We'll get to the bottom of how he was treated

That would require DOJ/FBI involvement using a grand jury.

And I don't think swamp defenders De Facto Attorney General Rod "I was confirmed 94-6" Rosenstein or FBI Director Chris "I was confirmed 92-5" Wray will allow that.

Watching NBC Nightly and Democrats are questioning limits of the probe and if it's fair and will be credible.

The only conclusion Democrats are going to accept is Kavanaugh is guilty.

They will not accept exoneration.

Pretty Posing Chrissy knew they would come to her. I knew. You knew. The entire world knew. It was all over the msm and internet.

Lindsey was on fire on Maria Bartiromo’s show - says after the Kavanaugh confirmation is complete, the Committee will be looking at how the ‘rats handled the whole affair - wants to know if someone on Feinstein’s or Eschoo”s (however it’s spelled) staff recommended a particular lawyer to Ford - apparently against the law - also who released his private information to the public - but most interestingly, whether Ford’s lawyers failed to tell her that the Committee staff was willing to go to California and interview her in private - he had emails from the Committee offering at least twice to meet her at home, and from Ford’s lawyers thanking the Committee on her behalf for the offers they made - if they actually didn’t pass all of those offers on to her, they would be guilty at least of ethical violations (I know, lawyerly ethics is an oxymoron) for not properly informing their client - if they did, and Ford lied under oath about not knowing - well, it should be fun - Lindsey firmly pointed out that ‘rats have been pretending to champion women and their welfare for years, but they used Ford shamelessly in their quest to hang on to power - finally, somebody telling it like it is......

The FBI should investigate her travels in the last 60 days.

Face reality. The left has blackmail papers on a large number of senators and Congressmen. It’s time to fight fire with fire and start digging up dirt on the leftists. Ought to be an easy shallow dig.

Yah but it makes a convenient cover story...kind of like saying you're caterers in order to be able to "spike the punch" ya know?

As long as Graham is on a crusade to burn a bag of dogs#it on Di Fi's porch, I'm good with it.

Absolutely, she is a staunch leftist that crossed over to political operative. Her donations, statements, and political activities are publicly available.

“We’ll get to the bottom of how he was treated, and why.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most of US already know why and it’s painfully obvious how he was treated.
We’ll get to the bottom of this about the same time as the truth of the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
Any corrupt actions by the Demonicrats should result in the Demonicrat being thrown out of the Senate (or House.
And criminal actions by the Demonicrats should result in their indictment, trial, and conviction.
Say, I just read this on Breitbart, can anyone confirm this?
“Ford originally claimed four boys tried to rape her when she was in her late teens in the mid-eighties. Now she says it was one rapist and one bystander when she was 15 in the early eighties.”
If that is true, that UTTERLY and COMPLETELY destroys her credibility! WHY the hell isn’t this all over the net?
Ford testified that Feinstein’s office put her in touch with attorney Katz.
Ford’s trust was never betrayed. She’s been in on this from the beginning.
Someone needs to make one of those degrees-of-separation diagrams for Ford—starting with McCabe's lawyer, etc.
Well that should be interesting - according to Lindsey it’s illegal for any Senate staffer to recommend a private lawyer to a constituent - Feinstein’s office has some splainin’ to do in many ways....
Doesn’t it appear obvious that this is going to have to be done without Democrat “acceptance”?
I fully expect that there won’t be any headlines either saying how the Republicans are doing the right thing.
If Trump has anyone he can trust in the FBI, and I don’t think he would have chosen this path if he didn’t, he’s going to get a report in a few days of something like:
“The completed investigation shows that there is no further information to amend the previous 5 reports concerning Judge Brett Kavanaugh.
Our investigation does indicate, however, the need to recommend that charges be filed for perjury, conspiracy to commit perjury, ... (you get the idea) involving the sworn statements and testimony to the Judiciary Committee of the following persons:
...(you get the idea)”
The Dems can complain, if they want more investigation and indictment, but I have a feeling they’ll start worrying about their own skins. They are going to be the only subject of continued investigation, so the confirmation will continue with adequate cover for any D’s wanting to join the winning side.
At least this is the strategy I see unfolding.
