I was a big Jefferson Airplane fan and saw them in 1969. They improvised a heck of a lot and sometimes it was great and other times not so great. :-)
About 1979 I was in Maison Jaussaud’s in Bakersfield sitting at the bar talking to the bartender who was a friend. 3 guys were hanging out against the wall by the bar and eventually they came over to talk to me. Told me they were members of Jefferson Airplane and were driving to LA and decided to stop and hear the band. I didn’t believe them and was giving them a ration of crap. We danced and drank together for awhile and then I left. The next day I looked at a pic of Jefferson Airplane and it was them. lol The drummer, this guy, and another that I don’t remember who he was.
