It is hard not to believe that if Lindsey Graham is breathing fire on this that the entire independent phalanx of America is ready to vote mightily for Republicans in November.

What really happened is that on Nov 21, 2013 the Senate Dems pulled the nuclear option and eliminated the 60 vote requirement for confirmations. The did this knowing then that if the tide turned that they would use any ambush to derail a republican nominee. If Trump needed 60 votes he would have had to go more moderate.
I see some dems needing to defect in Trump territory needing to defect to stay in office.
