Grassley would be an idiot to let Kavanaugh speak on this matter if Dr. Cray Cray doesn’t show. Give her 10 mins to show up, then have the vote - Done and Done.
Yes, you’re right. Kavanaugh can write a book or go on 60 minutes himself. He doesn’t need to go in front of the Senators if she’s not showing up.
Committee votes that refer matters to the Senate floor have to be scheduled in advance. I believe Grassley has to announce today if the Committee vote would be held as soon as Friday.
I agree with you. Frankly, I was not happy about the Judge’s television interview. I don’t understand why he would even try to defend himself against allegations that have been levied at best, third-hand. Supposedly the allegations were in a “letter” that the Judge hasn’t seen. Not smart to bare your soul and try to prove a negative, imo.
