Report: Grassley Accepts Kavanaugh Accuser’s Demand to Testify Thursday
Breitbart ^ | September 22, 2018 | Joshua Caplan

Attorneys for Ford and aides to Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley are said to have reached a tentative agreement for the professor to testify Thursday during a “brief” phone call on Saturday and plan to speak again Sunday to flesh out additional details of her testimony.

Members of Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) staff were also a part of Saturday’s negotiations.

“Negotiations could still falter over those details, which include who will question the woman, Christine Blasey Ford. But in tentatively agreeing to a Thursday hearing, Republicans made a significant concession that suggested they were working to ensure that the session occurred after several days of uncertainty,” the New York Times reports.

I was wondering about that since it seems so important for her that Kavenaugh go first it made no sense to go on 60 min before he says anything.

The other advantage of Anita Hill's allegations was that every one of the charges she made involved conduct where she said she and Thomas were alone.

Buzzy Ford made a huge blunder when she included these other people in her story -- and apparently named them.

When your "corroborating witnesses" don't corroborate your story, it's time to set yourself on fire in front of Feinstein's office in San Francisco.

Questions remaining to be answered are: Why was 15 yrs old Christine at a beer drinking party with older boys? Was Christine drinking? Was Christine flirting with anyone at the party? Was Christine making out with anyone at the party? How did Christine end up on a bed with two drinking 17 yr old boys? Since Christine's cloths were not removed & no penetration took place, how can Ford charge any defendant with rape? Does Christine Ford have proof that she was physically raped at the party? If Christine was groped, where was she groped & by who? Does she have physical proof or witnesses to being groped? Does Christine Ford have proof or witnesses, who can confirm that she was not a willing participant to anything that happened in the bedroom? Can she provide proof or witnesses that it was Bret Kavanaugh, who pushed her into the bedroom, who jumped on top of her, who groped her, who sexually assaulted her?

Hub (lawyer) says maybe this is not bad, makes them look really accommodating, and denies them any ability to conduct and overnight media onslaught by voting right after the testimony concludes on Thursday. Anybody know if that sounds right? (the voting right after).

Grassley surrendered his authority to the opposition in the first minute of the hearing. Even Jeff Sessions took longer than that.

When Grassley accepts the inevitable demand for delay until the following Monday, the time limit will have passed and the Kavanaugh nominationi is defunct. The Republicans on the Committee will then breathe a tremendous sigh of relief and get on to collecting their rewards from the lobbyists and the Sorosites and won’t really care about November. Their future financial comfort will be assured and the Democrats will not be angry with them. It doesn’t really matter how many Republicans we elect to Congress. So long as there 20 20 or so % of Democrats, the Democrats call the shots modified only by how effective the President is. Republicans cannot shake the feeling that the Democrats are the natural ruling class and they are uncomfortable in a majority status. It just doesn’t seem right.

I'll bet she was prepped to go on 60 Minutes -- but that was based on the assumption that Grassley would be firm with his Friday deadline and he'd tell her to get lost. If the deadline passed and she wasn't going to testify on Monday, then Kavanaugh wouldn't have testified either. Instead, the committee would be holding its vote on Monday to recommend Kavanaugh's confirmation to the full Senate ... just hours after Ford made a blockbuster appearance on 60 Minutes the night before.

Look at what's happening here, folks ... Grassley keeps disrupting their plans by constantly extending his "hard deadline." LMAO.

Sh will get it put off again and that will be the end of the nomination whether she turns up or not.

There is a cutoff, Friday, I believe. If the vote has not been taken before the end of Friday the nomination is dead.

Great point. Of five names involved, she is the only one who “remembers” these events.

I do not believe she will ever testify. She will refuse over some trivial “negotiation” and instead do the media tour.

All legitimate questions, but don’t get bogged down in details. Just a few key questions about obvious holes in her story are enough to debunk it while she’s sitting there testifying ... which is why she ain’t going to testify.

The repubs on the committee will not ask her any tough questions nor will they bring up any of her radical connections.

Don’t kid yourself, if the GOP wanted to they can Hammer him hard. MSNBC contract or not. Every one of those reporters needs people willing to talk to them. It’s the lifeblood of a reporter. Also, it’s an even bet that he has dirty stuff in his past. Guaranteed Grassley could mention that there’s a woman who wants to do a little talking about him.

I may postpone my voting to some other day because the republicans are more daft than the democrats. Why even bother to cast a vote for Cruz when congress can’t vote for Kavanaugh. They expect us to show up and stand up but they can’t.
I will wait and see if they vote before I decide whether I shall vote.
I just don’t understand why wait, not only wait but make concession after concession. I do hope Kavanaugh gets to be present when she lies.

Please stop posting that nonsense. A Supreme Court nominee can be confirmed any time the Senate is in session. The October 1st court term start date is a mere formality. Gorsuch was confirmed in April 2017 and was sitting on the court bench two weeks later.

I think Ted Cruz and possibly Lindsey Graham, both lawyers and members of the Judiciary Committee, will disagree with you that no tough questions will be asked of Dr. Ford!

Yes I realize that....but they will get bogged down if she testifies....they don’t know how to do this because they’re not attorneys. That is if she testifies. I tend to think they’ll just keep pushing this down the road and she’s in it for the ride with a neat $$$$ of for doing so.

Tucker Carlson started this nonsense, and though it’s been debunked, the same nonsense continues.
