Maybe letting illegals drive was a step to far?
The waits were caused 100% by letting illegals get driver licenses.
This is a huge “DUH” — no statewide audit required at all. Reason number #931 we are leaving CA.
It is about friggin time! They will not even have a category for the delay caused by having to accommodate 100 different languages and of course, the Illegals!
Of course the audit will cause additional wait times.
No problemo for the right kind of people.

I just drove 50 miles yesterday to a small town with a short wait and pleasant employees to get my driver’s license It was a heck of a lot better than waiting most of the day to be treated as an annoyance in my hometown.
We also have DMV Express in some of our cities that make sure you get fast service for $35, I think it is worth it.
California is as socialist. Long lines are part of the deal.
I just go to DMV Express
I’d rather pay $25 extra to be done with something in under 5 minutes then wait hours or days
Marxist klock klucker can piss off this is all show.
This is the level of performance we can expect from California’s forthcoming health care system also
It is easier to control a populace standing in line for basic services. Glad I left CA, I love living in the USA.

California DMV worker slept thousands of hours on the job, state report finds

Just reduce their daily nap time a little.(/s)
One party government sucks. Fails every time.

Most of these people wanted big government...well, theyve got it.
There are three - —— 3 -—— ‘walk-in’ centers left in California, where you can walk in, take a number and get served a few hours later to renew your license photo.
Everything else is by appointment. I applied for an appointment last week (which must be done online).
The earliest appointment time out of three kinda-local DMV offices? November 9.
I remember waiting hours in Calif DMV lines last time that moonbeam POS was governor way back in the 70s. Nothing changes.
