Ending several days of increasingly political battles over a woman who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee declared Friday night that they were unable to reach an agreement for the testimony of Kavanaugh’s accuser, and set a committee vote for Monday over the heated objections of Democrats.

Did Grassley do a whip count? Only one shot at getting the votes.
I have not seen anything delaying Mondays hearing.
I think that even the weak kneed in the caucus are tired of this circus. Ford could have testified, in private, any time this week. They are just delaying at this point.
I sure hope this is for real .. I am bored beyond belief, from the flood of attention dumped upon a ‘lost mind’.
Probably needs another day for that chip implant to heal.

If they don’t have the votes in committee they will not vote and McConnell can bring it to the whole Senate for vote.
He doesn’t have to win. He just needs to report it out from committee. It is then McConnell’s challenge to get it through the full Senate.

Senate then votes on it. Rep have 51 votes. Flake, Collins, Murkowski are 3. 48 votes without them. Need 2 of the 3 Plus Pence breaking a tie. Or 1 of the 3 if Manchin comes on board.
That’s voting it out of committee. Mitch will hold the floor vote until she testifies or fails to show and the depositions are read into the records
