Can’t the nomination be submitted for the entire Senate even if the Judiciary Committee votes it down?

Anyone know?

If they don’t have the votes in committee they will not vote and McConnell can bring it to the whole Senate for vote.

“The Judiciary Committee then votes on the nomination and sends its recommendation (that it be confirmed, that it be rejected, or with no recommendation) to the full Senate.”

Senate then votes on it. Rep have 51 votes. Flake, Collins, Murkowski are 3. 48 votes without them. Need 2 of the 3 Plus Pence breaking a tie. Or 1 of the 3 if Manchin comes on board.
