I have to admit, when I first saw this story where he talked about a look a like to Judge Kavanaugh that possibly did it, I thought this was as bad as Ford’s allegations. I mean all he was doing was supposing and outing this guy who I guess is a middle school teacher. Can you imagine that you are going through your life and then all of the sudden you are in the $h@tstorm that is politics all because someone said it might be you that raped a woman 36 years ago with no evidence?
Other than Twitter rage, he didn’t introduce any legal jeopardy. Statute of limitations for this type of assault in Maryland in one year.
It did seem odd to post another innocent man’s name. He should get honorary membership in #MeToo at the least.

Stick to the premise that Dr. Ford’s allegations are a fabrication and a partisan political attack. Let her shoulder the burden of proof 36 years after the fact.
This does not discount the idea that she was in fact “assaulted” what we question is her ability to provide factual support to her assertion. To accuse Kavanaugh, who’s life is by all accounts sterling, is offensive unless you can name specific names, and exact places. With a clear memory. Times/dates are hard to keep track of, but were this the trauma that she says it is, she would remember the date as well.

Whether Whalen regrets it or not, he got his point across last night. Chris Garrett is a legit look-alike. There is reasonable doubt on so many fronts about Ford’s 36 year old complete about some awkward drunk groping. She should be ashamed to have used it as excuse for infidelity in marital counseling, should never have brought it up against Kavanaugh. Further, others say it never happened anyway. Bottom line, what are we to make of underage drunk kids from 36 years ago? Do we hold that over them or look at what they’ve done with their lives since? I say the latter and suggest Senators get back to their jobs and confirm Kavanaugh to the supreme court.
