Want to help prevent rape? Withdraw Kavanaughs nomination . If we care about all the sexual assaults that havent yet occurred, we must treat attempted rape as disqualifying for a Supreme Court justice.
By Sandra Newman Sandra Newman has written widely about sexual assault and is the author of several books, including the forthcoming novel The Heavens. September 20 at 3:19 AM
When Christine Blasey Ford came forward with allegations that Brett Kavanaugh tried to rape her at a party when he was 17, it was no surprise that Republicans were quick to deny it ever happened. What was surprising, however, was how many insisted that, if it happened, it didnt matter.
Minnesota state Sen. Scott Newman breezily tweeted: Even if true, teenagers! In an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal, Lance Morrow said: No clothes were removed, and no sexual penetration occurred. The sin, if there was one, was not one of those that Catholic theology calls peccata clamantia sins that cry to heaven for vengeance. On MSNBC, Bari Weiss mused: Lets say [Kavanaugh] did this exactly as she said. Should the fact that a 17-year-old, presumably very drunk kid, did this, should this be disqualifying?
Its a question that can only be answered affirmatively. And not just because what Kavanaugh allegedly did is so terrible. Its also because making a show of just how terrible it is on the world stage might help stop other men from perpetrating similar abuses.

Want to prevent more rapes? Castrate Bill Clinton.
Want to prevent global warming? Move to Antarctica.
WaPo is so off the rails. This Op Ed tells us all we need to know about the Democrat agenda.
Want to prevent obesity? Boycott food.
it was no surprise that Republicans were quick to deny it ever happened. ........................................ IF THEY DO, ITS WELL LEARNED FROM THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!!! All Kavanaugh has to say is “ In ever had sex with that woman”.
Hey, he was 17
Just go ahead and crucify him . . . if not then, now
And do it to every other 17 or so year old . . with or without corroboration. Heck, why should they even bother getting a college education or a job? If they can’t get jobs they are eminently qualified for, decades later, just kill them right then and there. What’s life at that point?
I mean, c’mon Sister, you might as well call for it. There’s your due process, your equal protection, your get evenism
And please include Democrats and future Democrats in your capital punishment
Want to help prevent severe mental retardation? Shut down the a..holes at the Washington Post and their Commie rag/butt wipe.
Hildabeast already has his balls in a jar....they sit on the mantle...
Might as well withdraw the nomination. Flake, Corker, Collins, Murkowski etc were never on board. Hell, most of the repubikan senators were never on board. They all want to stab Trump in the back. A SICKER BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS cannot be found anywhere.
Eventually, Republicans have to stand up to this, or the Democrats are absolutely going to keep doing it. Every GOP candidate in a tight race that receives national attention, Republican-nominated individual, conservative commentator, etc. will be open to this, open to having a single liberal activist woman make completely unsubstantiated claims against them and ruin their entire careers.

She should be ashamed of herself.
The accuser has nothing definitive: doesn’t know when, where, and so on.
The left doesn’t even realize what laughing stocks they’re making of themselves. It’s amazing that they’re this stupid.
They’re stupid, evil liars. Theat’s what we should all take away from this and never forget.
the whole problem is the GOP plays this game, just act like a robot and vote for him, don’t play the game, idiots
Want to eliminate freedom? Blow off due process.
Want to help stop sedition and a soft coup, shut down the Washington Post and the New York Times.
Please. I’m sure he was 17 at one point in his life.
But was he there? Incredibly doubtful.
This woman is a nutcase.
