U.S. seeking to negotiate a treaty with Iran

WASHINGTON - The United States is seeking to negotiate a treaty with Iran to include Tehran’s ballistic missile program and its regional behavior, the U.S. special envoy for Iran said on Wednesday ahead of U.N. meetings in New York next week.

Iran has rejected U.S. attempts to hold high-level talks since President Donald Trump tore up a nuclear deal between Tehran and six world powers earlier this year.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo listed a dozen demands in May that he said could make up a new agreement, although Hook’s reference to a treaty, which would have to be approved by the U.S. Senate, appears to be a new focus.

“The new deal that we hope to be able to sign with Iran, and it will not be a personal agreement between two governments like the last one, we seek a treaty,” envoy Brian Hook told an audience at the Hudson Institute think tank.

Among Pompeo’s demands was the release of Americans jailed by Tehran, an end to its nuclear and missile programs and for Iran to withdraw its forces and end financial support for sides in the conflicts in Syria and Yemen.

Total, utter waste of time. Iran’s rogue regime can only be “negotiated”with one way.

And that’s NOT the “patty-cake” John Kerry way.

It would be funny if Trump negotiated a rock solid verifiable treaty with Iran at no cost to us. It would just chap obumbers ass something fierce.

Effin Kerry should be arrested for interfering. His trip there, along with his machinations, are treasonous at best.

Roto-Reuters did a nice job of not mentioning the serious (nay, criminal) conduct of Effin Kerry. His trip to Iran, being a virulent opponent of the President, is clear-cut aid and comfort to the enemy.

Don’t know when, but Ezekiel 38 is absolutely going to happen.

It will be a surprise to the world.

Sheba and Dedan (that’s Saudi Arabia) will ask “Why?”.

So, the Sunnis in SA are going to be asking why the mostly Shia Iranian mullahs are doing this.

Our beef is with the government, not the people of Iran.

Not likely to go anywhere, but it’s the right thing to do to make explicit what we will demand from these turkeys before we let up on punishing sanctions.
