Most here are overconfident also, just like it says in this article. So in that sense, the article correctly captures the prevailing feeling of invincibility in GOP circles...

Yet in Texas Cruz has opened up a 9 point lead and a State Senate seat was won by a Republican in a district that Hillary took by 12 points.

No, we aren't handwringers and know we are going to win by voting!

The RNC is run by a bunch of losers.

The RNC is not confident that they’ll be able to help their Democrat Deep State buddies win back the House!

Yup. Trump can’t do it without a gop House. And unless we all vote, there wont be a gop House in January...

Delusional. Just as delusional as Democrats thinking Hillary was going to win.

Like the minute-man forefathers of old, conservatives showed up at the polls in 2016 to do their part but then they went back to their hearths and ken to lead their lives in private. No guarantee they will help again.

Trump’s approval amongst republicans is probably 90%. The RNC should send absentee applications out to the republications that voted in 2016. With lit outlining what a Pelosi administration would look like, maybe with pictures of Americans that were killed by illegals over the past few years. They’ll be 40 million earl votes for republican candidates and they’ll bury the socialists.

Oh, we are confident but will crawl over broken glass if necessary to vote.

Maybe they aren’t worried because they’re going to get out and vote.

Stop the negative garbage!!!!!! Republicans are confident of victory because they know they are going to vote in greater numbers than ever before. We are fired up and throwing a wet blanket on the fire can only help the Dems, so SHUT UP!!!!!

“If overconfident Republican voters stay home, Democrats could win a landslide,”

And if unicorns farted rainbows,...

Confidence motivates voters; No-one wants to be on the losing team.

Just cause you not worried means you are not voting.

My guess is the base is fired up beyond belief, but just not vocal. If you stick your head up, you get whacked.

If that’s true, then no more winning. Debt collapse and big layoffs, here we come. As for government employees, the layoffs will be huge with no sustainable, real revenues in our near future. The pile of debt can’t rise forever, because bond collapse ensues with all that follows it (economic collapse). Austerity measures will happen sooner than most people expect.

Vote!

We need Kudlow to keep talking about entitlement reform. That should finish the GOP off completely.

The Dem's ground game is impressive: got a text message from a Beto campaigner (don't know how they got my number) and just got a 'vote by mail' invitation from a Dem candidate for governor in another state where I moved.

They are pulling out all the stops: haven't gotten squat from the GOP.

But then that's true in the GOP Congress and Senate, too, apart from the tax cut.

I’m more concerned with the Republicans who have been offended by their squishy RINO candidates, and think by not voting for them, the squish will be somehow punished, and having a Dim in place will be no worse and will even teach people some sort of lesson.

All you “morally superior” FReepers out there know who I’m talking about.

Just hold your noses and do the right thing. America will thank you for it.
