RNC poll finds GOP voters aren’t worried about midterms. That’s bad
Conservative Review ^ | 9/18/18 | Chris Pandolfo

Posted on 09/18/2018 8:30:46 PM PDT by Behind Liberal Lines

Fully half of self-identified Republicans don’t believe Democrats are likely to win back the House. And within that group, 57 percent of people who describe themselves as strong Trump supporters don’t believe Democrats have a chance (37 percent believe they do). …

“If overconfident Republican voters stay home, Democrats could win a landslide,” Josh Green writes. “The report urges GOP officials to yank their voters back to reality: ‘We need to make real the threat that Democrats have a good shot of winning control of Congress.'”

Republican voters are confident because they know they will show up.

This is why the Q garbage is destructive
================

I agree. I've been hearing about "sealed indictments", "mass round ups", for a over a year, and yet there is nothing, just talk.

If these Qfools, or is it FQQls? spent their time helping local candidates instead of posting this junk, we'd win by landslides in Nov.

Cockiness breeds complacency.

That's part of the reason Hillary lost.

No need to campaign in a couple states. It's a done deal!

Democrats are burning with hatred and fueled by revenge.

I suspect it's going to be closer than many expect.

“If overconfident Republican voters stay home, Democrats could win a landslide,”

And if unicorns farted rainbows,...

Confidence motivates voters; No-one wants to be on the losing team.

I think this is a CLASSIC example of why pollsters have been wrong so much in the past four years: it conflates confidence with staying at home. Nowhere did any of the respondents say they plan to not vote.

Just cause you not worried means you are not voting.

My guess is the base is fired up beyond belief, but just not vocal. If you stick your head up, you get whacked.

If that’s true, then no more winning. Debt collapse and big layoffs, here we come. As for government employees, the layoffs will be huge with no sustainable, real revenues in our near future. The pile of debt can’t rise forever, because bond collapse ensues with all that follows it (economic collapse). Austerity measures will happen sooner than most people expect.

Vote!

We need Kudlow to keep talking about entitlement reform. That should finish the GOP off completely.

The Dem's ground game is impressive: got a text message from a Beto campaigner (don't know how they got my number) and just got a 'vote by mail' invitation from a Dem candidate for governor in another state where I moved.

They are pulling out all the stops: haven't gotten squat from the GOP.

But then that's true in the GOP Congress and Senate, too, apart from the tax cut.

Yup. We will lose due to over confidence leading to complacency.

Dear RNC,

Please stop confusing us with Demoncrats.

Sincerely,

I’m more concerned with the Republicans who have been offended by their squishy RINO candidates, and think by not voting for them, the squish will be somehow punished, and having a Dim in place will be no worse and will even teach people some sort of lesson.

All you “morally superior” FReepers out there know who I’m talking about.

Just hold your noses and do the right thing. America will thank you for it.

Yes... they keep citing the “overconfident” Clinton voters. The real story is that even Clinton’s party didn’t much like her... like Romney’s or McCain’s. Trump voters were almost as likely to think they were going to win.

Qooks ?

The LugenPresse does seem to want to debunk Q. Or maybe just entertain their readers on the gullibility of some Trump supporters.

My problem is that Q claims near omnipotent knowledge that no single person in the world has.

And the people who say well, even if it is fake, it is harmless, or builds support for Trump. That’s not right either.

And says, “I was only joking!”

You couldn’t keep me away from the polls with an offer of $10 million dollars.

Yep. If the GOP was serious, we’d be looking at the very strong possibility of 60 seats in the Senate.

Instead PA, OH, MT, IN, and NV have weak polling. Even stretch goals liks WI and VA don’t look good.

We need to maximize turnout.

I vote no matter how confident I am, I sure hope everyone else does too.

I hear about people not voting because they are confident their candidate will win and I also hear about people not voting because they are convinced their candidate doesn’t have a chance to win. Neither one of those reasons make sense to me.

I cannot believe how few people in this country actually do vote- that is truly scary. Especially with what has been going on for many years I sure cannot imagine any conservative not voting for any reason.

But regardless of what they think, Republicans better turn out and vote! Our future depends on it.

If Dems gain control, they will try to impeach President Trump and thwart his agenda to MAGA.

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!
