If you want fresh evidence that Donald Trump has turned American politics upside down, here it is: Former Gov. Christie Whitman, a lifelong Republican, is so appalled by him that she wants Democrats to take over the House.
"I'm hoping we lose the House, that would be a good thing," she said Friday. "Congress could stand up to him and could be dialing back a lot of this. They have ceded too much to this president."
But be careful, she says. Don't kill the moderate Republicans, they are the ones who can help steer the country back to safe ground.
"You have to pick and choose," said Whitman. "It's really bad for the country when both parties are on the extreme. That's happening to Democrats, too. They're not as far along as Republicans, but it's coming."
This shocker, to me at least, came during a conversation about Rep. Leonard Lance, R-7th, who is fighting for his life against a strong Democratic challenger, Tom Malinowski, in a district that chose Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Whitman says she will vote for Lance in November, and that the bipartisan coalition he belongs to -- known as the "Problem Solvers Caucus" -- could hold the balance of power in a Congress that is held narrowly by one party or the other, as she believes is likely. That could break the partisan standoff, she says.

I’m starting to wonder if anything good can come from New Jersey. Both of their senators are Democrats, one is a crook, and the other is a flaming homosexual. As for the Republicans, it appears they are all RINOs.

Be thankful Donald Trump is the president. If we had gotten any other Republican to win we would still be contending with that person beholden to the Deep State. President Trump has forced all these sellout Deep State Repukes out in the open where we can finally see them.
