Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will visit Ireland next weekend accompanied by a high-level delegation, it has been announced.
The stopover will come on President Abbas’s journey to the annual United Nations General Assembly in New York.
President Abbas will pay a courtesy call on President Higgins before holding a formal meeting and working dinner with the Tánaiste Simon Coveney at Farmleigh.
Among the topics expected to be discussed are the humanitarian and security situation in Gaza and the West Bank, the funding crisis for UNRWA, and the future of the Middle East Peace Process.

Not a good trend. My guess is Abbas wants to take over a part of Ireland and make it an exclusively Muslim enclave, one that non Arab heritage Irish dare never to enter.
It will be similar to what’s happening in Sweden and Denmark and Germany and England and Michigan and Minnesota USA.

They weren’t like that when I lived there. Such people were restricted to certain enclaves, but now they’ve all converted.

The teachers in Irish (Republic) primary school used to read the stories of Cúchulainn in class too; he was the legendary hero who fought for Ulster against Connacht after their infamous cattle raids on the northern province, and Connacht’s Queen Medhbh (or Maeve) was always cast as a Jezebel-like villain in those stories.
Most people here love the Palestinians and are very critical of Israel. I think to an extent it is empathy as they really believe the Palestinians are victims. The media is extremely biased against Israel and has been for years. The socialist types are the worst. You can even see people with Hamas and Hezbollah flags at marches. There is very little support for Israel and the Jewish population has been dwindling for a while.
