[Breaking News] Kavanaugh Classmate Named in Letter Strongly Denies Allegations of Misconduct
Weekly Standard ^ | September 14, 2018 | John McCormick

Posted on 09/14/2018 2:15:40 PM PDT by sitetest

On Friday morning, The New Yorker's Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow reported on a letter alleging possible sexual misconduct by Brett Kavanaugh while he was a high-school student. According to the New Yorker:

"The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. [...] In a statement, Kavanaugh said, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

Kavanaugh’s classmate said of the woman’s allegation, “I have no recollection of that.”

The Kavanaugh classmate quoted in the New Yorker is Mark Judge, a writer in Washington, D.C. Judge spoke to THE WEEKLY STANDARD Friday afternoon, strongly denying that any such incident ever occurred. "It's just absolutely nuts. I never saw Brett act that way," Judge told TWS.

Billy Graham practiced that, being that he was so well known. He would never be alone in a room with a woman because of the possibility of accusations later. I went to Wheaton College and that was well known there.

St. Augustine would disapprove.

Bill clinton raped and molested women and the media yawned- claiming we the peopel had no right to delve into his private life- Yet a woman comes out and accuses Kav of what? Trying to kiss her when she didn’t tell him no? And the msm go berserk?

How come the women kennedy actually molested etc, haven’t come forward? Seems women who date dems hardly ever come forward with allegations- yet we know many dems to have been out and out horn dogs-

She should have to describe the room, the building, the people at the party, etc- without going back to the supposed scene- if she is going to make such a serious allegation, then she should have to provide proof she was even there- and describe the room etc- Also, how do we know it wasn’t some other man? Where’s the proof it was him? and she should be required to provide proof that she was non accepting of his advances if he was the fella- If she’s going to ruin a man’s reputation like this- especially someone running for high office, then she should be required to provide evidence supporting her serious allegations

It would be so easy to counter her accusations because parties weren’t on Friday nights back then. Most Football games were Saturday morning early and everyone had to be in early on Friday nights.i bet he can prove he wasn’t even at the so called party.many parties were in fields due to local laws about drinking. She needs to come forward with details. Like date, house and her supposed escape route. It didn’t happen.

Before all of that perhaps Difi, Mayer and Farrow could provide some proof that the woman even exists.

This isn’t about you. I don’t care if you’re spited or not.

This is about me being safe from your kind.

St. Augustine disapproved of everything... AFTER he had all his fun.

Enough of this cat fight between you two! WTF does your petty bickering have to do with Senator Feinstein and her last minute feeble attempt to stop Judge Kavanaugh from becoming an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court?

If you two want to get into a war of words about who’s the more righteous, by all means, have at it. Just do it somewhere else, please!

I am 100% behind your, “I am a rock, I am an island,” safety. Isn’t it wonderful when we’re all on the same side?

If she doesn’t have it in film, and can’t produce the original negative, she’s a liar.

Yep, don’t even create the opportunity. Just don’t do it.

And if there is no other way to avoid such a scenario, and it is legal in your state to secretly record, then do that if you have to. If it’s not legal, then inform them that they are being recorded.

CYA.

So far, no reports of strong support from Rep Senators or the D's that were expected to vote for Mr. Kavanaugh.
He might not get out of committee.
It could be 50-50 and Pence casting the tie-breaking vote.

It doesn’t make any difference whether you’re behind it or not. It doesn’t matter how you characterize my safety, and whether or not our agreement or disagreement is wonderful or not wonderful is irrelevant.

This. Isn’t. About. You.

I didn’t say that- She should be able to produce witnesses who can corroborate her story- someone who can testify that she emerged from the room shaken up- scared- she should be able to provide info on the psychiatrist she claims she needed- be able to describe the room- etc- these are serious allegations that have the potential of destroying a man’s reputation for good- just as annita destroyed thomas’ reputation- There should be a requirement for enough circumstantial evidence to create a ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ case. People can and DO make false accusations all the time- both men and women- All we really have is one democrat’s word against a republican here- and we’ve seen democrats lying about republicans for a long time now in efforts to destroy them

Maybe the woman has a credible complaint, but she should be required to provide enough evidence to back up her claim- and that goes for vice versa too- men accusing women should also have enough evidence when bringing serious allegations forward-

She really belongs in a federal penitentiary.

Democrats with brain slugs continually shout "treason" at Trump, while this woman serves as a standing representative of the Chinese Communist Party and PRC.
