Yes, but why write the letter if she didn't want someone to pursue it? If she didn't want to pursue it, she would not have written the letter, and the story would have been an interesting cocktail party tidbit she could share whenever Kavanaough's name came up for discussion.

I had a female friend who had developed a really impressive set of knockers by eighth grade. Her parents came to school and screamed at the principal because virtually every male student in the building kept snapping her bra straps.
