Seventeen years after they helped murder 2,977 innocents in the worst terrorist attack on US soil, five 9/11 suspects — including self-avowed mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed — have not faced trial.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all five men and have attempted for years to try the case, but a constantly shifting venue, questions over coerced evidence and the limitations of holding trials at Guantanamo Bay have slowed the case to a crawl.
Victims’ families say the legal limbo puts them through hell.

Side note: In June of 1942 eight German agents landed in the US. They were all captured. FDR ordered a military trial. It occurred one month later. And one month after that, six of them were executed.

They were Saudi citizens. What kind of explicit support they got from Saudi Arabian government, we don’t know. But GWB didn’t want to embarrass them.

My opinion is: there won't be a trail. Ever.
One reason I say this is because between now and - say the year 2030 - I don't think much new evidence will turn up. Not evidence that will stir passions the way they were stirred in the first 17 years following 9/11.
I don't know why there isn't enough evidence, or gumption, to schedule a trial.
There are people in the government who know why a trial can't be held, but they don't seem to be in a hurry to say anything.
If former-President Bush can't say anything, he could at least let the outspoken Laura give us a toot on the dog whistle.
Probably the same reason there is no justice for Crooked H, Huma, Lois, Loretta, Susan, Eric, Barack, to name a few.
Plenty of families are frustrated at this too.

Naw, leave em rot there for ever. A trial would likely require exposure of methods and sources and other things that no longer are of import, but would likely be publicized and put current operations and operators at risk. They want a trial, a platform for their views, let em rot, in silence and without redress. They are not entitled to due process or anything as illegal combatants not on US soil. Never bring them here, as once you do, a clock starts that eventually runs out and then you have a mess.
Bush Junior is a stuttering idiot who can barely speak. But his mouth is good for servicing Saudi royals.

In Benghazi I identified 17 extremists seen near/in consulate during attack.
6 out of 17 are in vid.
Witnesses say: Most of 17 killed/fled city. 1 lives in Berlin. 1 might be in Sweden
