Nike Releases Its First Colin Kaepernick Commercial. It’s A Doozy

Nike released its first commercial of Colin Kaepernick’s “Just Do It” campaign Wednesday.

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback narrates a bunch of highlights in the ad, which will air during the first of the NFL season Thursday night.

He wraps up the commercial by stating, “Don’t ask if your dreams are crazy. Ask if they’re crazy enough.”

Oh, I saw a great idea someone had. When you buy new shoes, send your old, disgusting, beat up Nikes to Nike along with a copy of your receipt for new non-Nike shoes. Maybe they will be overwhelmed with boxes of stinky old Nikes.

I think it’s a bad calculation for a corporation to get into the political arena regardless of the position they take.

But who knows? Maybe most of their shoe buyers are Kaepernick supporters.

However, I think there’s a trend toward citizens taking increasing pride in America, the flag, etc., and that will bode ill for Nike.

Nike has chosen to favor an America hater. Reason enough to never buy anything from them.
