Actress Piper Perabo announced she was arrested while protesting during Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing on Tuesday.
A video clip shows Perabo, 41, appearing to shout during the hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, before being led away by officers.
The "Coyote Ugly" actress was one of several people arrested during the often-contentious confirmation hearing. The Capitol Police said 22 protesters were arrested on Tuesday and charged with disorderly conduct. It's not the first time Perabo has joined political activists.
Last September, Perabo said she was participating in a protest outside of Trump Tower in New York in support of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
