The power structure in North Korea has too much to lose if North Korea is transformed. Kim does not have firm control and cannot overcome entrenched opposition.

This situation will only be resolved if China wants it to be.My understanding (incomplete as it is) of the Butchers of Beijing suggests to me that China is absolutely fine with North Korea just as it is.

The premise is journomalpractice. The assumption is that world affairs can be accomplished within an established timeline.

That thought alone means the rest ot the article is just garbage

No one has ever found cooperation in North Korea, unless his name was ‘Kim.’

Give Kim a proposal for peace, and put the ball into his court.

Last week Trump said things were fine. Seems you always find articles that breathlessly explain to us that Trump is wrong, being played, etc.

Last week the same WSJ explained to us that there was no genocide against white farmers in SA too. Your source paper isn’t reliable, and is anti Trump.

This process is going to take years. Did anyone really believe that NK would eliminate their nukes in a few months?

If NK wants a peace treaty and they’re willing to sign, do it.

I think the key to real change is to get both Korean leaders talking. There are so many issues to resolve. Start with family reunification, get the NK people visiting the south and let them see how badly they’ve been screwed over.

All of this is based on one condition, that the NK leadership wants change and China will allow it.

It is time to quit messing with these liars. They are stalling for time in their manufacture of hydrogen bombs and missiles to deliver them. Trump had to test to see if this was real. He now knows clearly that it was a hoax. He did everything he could but now is the time to protect the American people. Kim has threatened nuclear attack on the United States of America on 6 known public statements. That did it. He is a clear and present danger to this country with the means and capability to make good on his threats. It is time for annihilation of him and the capability to kill millions of innocent Americans either by direct hit or an EMP and he has threatened both. We must get out of this denial and face reality. Every day risks millions of American lives.

it’s disturbing how much support the worst tyrant remaining on the planet has on an allegedly conservative forum.

especially when the overture to Kim is probably another feint by DJT — like tariffs (that also got a disturbing amount of support); he hiked tariffs across the board when his plan all along was to eliminate all tariffs. his end game with Kim is probably not denuclearization; at least not as Kim understands it right now.
