I will never shop with those Rico’s.
You can’t run manly men sports stuff outfit like a girly man and expect to succeed.
Seems to me last quarters report was considered good and their bailing on guns was well into effect. Just wondering??
I sure won’t invest in that company. Any that want to make a political statement over providing for their customers will surely fail.
Will they ban fishing supplies next because it ‘hurts animals’?
I was last in there at Christmas; I found they did not have the special Yeti cooler they advertised. I browsed; the rest of their stuff is way overpriced. Cabela’s or online are far better alternatives.
its a crappy store that leans very far left. they want to get into politics, well then pay the political price.
And liberals think they run the country.
This article seems to be arguing against a point (”conservatives shouldn’t boycott over poor treatment”) that I have literally never heard anybody make.
So between that and deciding to try and score points with the types of people who would never enter a sporting goods store in the first place, in the process offending those of us who have, do, and might again, their corporate management has thoroughly screwed the pooch. If the shareholders haven't the b***s to can them and reverse course nature will take its course. They wouldn't be the first and won't be the last to be run into the ground by a pack of lawyers and accountants who understand nothing about a company's business or its customers. Then again, they are "Dick's".
Go woke, go broke.
What is “enyugening”?
Gander Mountain was a far better store.
It deserved to succeed and stick around.
Under Armor also losing ground because they sell much of their merchandise in Dick’s - Dick’s thought by banning firearm sales they were doing the morally superior thing and that they’d attract all the righteous people to make up for those they lost because of the ban - hasn’t worked out that way for them - too bad.....
You got to love a stupid company that does a political grandstand and then finds out that it really didn’t understand who its customers really were.
Dicks is reaping the sorrow of assuming that its customers are ultra liberals, just like the main stream media is dying because they don’t understand their audience.
“Once you go Cuck, You’re dead as a Duck”.
I’m a very knowledgeable gun person, I’ve hunted all my life, repaired firearms, attended gun-smithing school at a college level, built custom rifles, sold firearms and had an FFL for a good many years. I know guns.
When I find a Dick’s store in or near a mall, I go straight to the gun department and find the poor sucker behind the counter. First I ask them every dumb question I can think of and let them educate me. Then I slowly progress to the questions that are above their pay grade and level of knowledge. I ask to look at every gun in the rack. I take my time with each firearm asking more questions. They can not walk away from me when I’m holding one of their firearms. I ask questions about the local and state laws and anything else I can think of.
I usually stretch it out to about an hour. I keep them in front of me so they are not waiting on other customers.
Dick’s pays them for all that time that I use up.
I never buy anything but after I’m done letting them assume their superior knowledge and then destroying that self image, I wander around the racks where all their “add on sales” merchandise is stacked. By that time the guys behind the counter will intentionally stay far away from me as they can.
That is a good thing because I’m telling every other customer there where they can find the same things cheaper from companies that actually support our 2A rights.
I not only know my guns well, I know cheaper than dirt, Midway USA, gun broker, auction arms and many others by heart...
I hate shopping with the girls at the mall, and this is so much more fun....
Screw Dick’s. No one said we could not have some fun at their expense.
A banner hung outside a gunstore in Houston read, “We stil sell AR-15s - we aren’t Dicks”.
