President Donald Trump, facing a drastically revised death toll in Puerto Rico a year after dual hurricanes devastated the island, offered a still-rosy outlook of his administration's handling of the disaster on Wednesday.
"I think we did a fantastic job in Puerto Rico," Trump told CNN's Jim Acosta during an exchange with reporters at the White House. "We're still helping Puerto Rico." It was an optimistic accounting of his administration's handling of the natural disaster, which left much of the US territory without power for weeks and resulted in thousands of deaths.

I’m asking because that test pattern gets better ratings than CNN most nights.
The deaths occurred before the government response was started. While a hurricane is blowing through, there can be no government response.

The fact that any people died in a major natural disaster is proof Trump doesn’t care and didn’t try.
He colluded with the hurricane against the american people just like he did with the Russians against hillary.

And the government of Puerto rico has no responsibility in all of this, yeah right!
The Puerto Rico government is corrupt and inept and Democrat. They stole the money to be used for the power infrastructure, allowing it to deteriorate. When the hurricane hit, a great deal had to be rebuilt, almost from the ground up.
Of course, Puerto Rico did not want to pay for anything. They had already stolen or wasted the money on their cronies and special projects.
CNN must have missed the story about the sent supplies rotting away in some warehouse.
You don’t “HANDLE the disaster”, you handle the AFTERMATH of the disaster.
Those nimrods at CNN are enjoying their daily, Trump, “taffy pull”, twisting and bending every news story into something that is “Trump’s fault”.
Keep it up, CNN...your “blue wave” is blue, but no longer a wave...more like swirling down the drain.
