God the Father, through Jesus Christ, forgives those who REPENT!

Not those who enable, cover-up and practice abominable sin incessantly.

It is apparent Francis is not smart enough to perceive the existential threat to the Catholic Church. Or does not care.

It's also apparent there is a very large number of Catholics which do not mind swimming in toilet scum.

Rather than God’s forgiveness, he should beg for forgiveness from those who have been hurt by the neglect of this horrendous problem.

Pope Francis has admitted more than once that he intends a "New Paradigm" for the Catholic Church, necessarily predicated on the weakening/abolition of the "Old Paradigm," i.e. traditional Catholicism.

He either wants to convert or manipulate us to lose our attachment to real Catholicism, or replace present Catholics with others with quite different beliefs.

He IS the "existential threat."

Isn’t this the guy who said “Who are we to judge??” about homosexuals?

Looks like a lot of NON-judgement regarding, homosexuality, sexual sin and perversion has been taking place, in a lot of Diocese in the Catholic world.

Resign first. You are primarily a marxist. Your main mode of thought is marxist. Your actions are marxist. You are not worthy of being pope. Vacate the Chair of Peter, and let Cardinal Sarah take your place. Oh, before you go, fire all the gay cardinals, bishops and priests. And what about the gay orgy with the cardinals in the Vatican! eh? you made sure that was suppressed in the media.

That’s wonderful.

Now about that whole celibacy thing...think that might be a bit of the problem?

And cast out the faggotry forthwith.

when a large portion of the world’s largest God worshiping organization act as they do not believe in God, then it might be time for a purge, or at least a review to see how far from their roots the church has become

The first order of business is to bust all of the queers out of the priesthood completely. Allow none to remain as priests. That is paramount!

There's an old saying about "there's a special place in Hell for..." that seems to be particularly appropriate in cases like this.

Maybe the Lord will forgive him, but the millions of Catholics who feel disgraced, misled and lied to may not.

and demanded "firm and decisive" measures to find "truth and justice"

Ummmm that's what we have police, courts and jails for.

The Pope's concern is suppose to be spiritual and here's a flash for Pope Francis

It's just as easy to forgive a rapist priest while he serves his term in prison as it is to 'forgive' him while he's sitting in a rent-free rectory with close access to children.

STOP doing Caesar's work and do YOUR OWN JOB Pope Francis - let the law deal with the criminal rapists... YOU forgive them or not while they're serving their term in prison.

I’ve read the comments on this and other threads about this story which is all over the place to day. It is a sad day when the truth is revealed by an upper level Cardinal who has had enough of the lies and obfuscation in the hierarchy, and courageously exposed the duplicity.

Additionally, I want to point out that for many who are disgusted with the behavior and the crimes against young members in the church, even here, the term pedophilia is still used when discussing the major cause of the abuse. The church does not have a pedophilia problem as hardly ever has there been a case of sexual abuse against small children who are under the age of puberty [the definition of pedophilia]. In no way does this lessen the problem. Abuse against little children or teenagers or even innocent young seminarians is a crime. However, by not using the proper terminology, the church will never be able to face it’s problems and correct them. The problem is the large number of HOMOSEXUALS who have increasingly found refuge, anonymity, and hoped for safety within the clergy.

Today, the secular press is still using the term ‘pedophilia’, and as long as society is unwilling to call it what it is because of political correctness, we will never confront it head on. Our press is two-faced [what’s new about that?], as they love to bash the church, but hide the intrinsic nature so as to shield homosexuals. Do news media folks think that homosexuals are OK, but priests are bad when they abuse ‘children’, when actually these priests are homosexuals who are abusing members of the church, primarily teenage boys?

Being a lifelong Catholic, I have been cautious to criticize Pope Francis, although I have mentioned to friends that I do not care for his pronouncements regarding morality, which seem to gloss over the seriousness of sinful behavior in favor of being more forgiving of the sinners. Because Jesus told us not to judge, and to forgive one another, it works great - BUT that is only half of what Jesus taught. Jesus told us to ‘go and sin no more’; to repent and believe in the gospel, to avoid occasions of sin; to let the little children come to him; to never cause any harm to children, etc..

Cardinal Carlo Maria Vigano had put his heart and soul in to the letter made public today. The demotion of Cardinal Burke [a great man in my opinion] several years ago was a serious signal that all was not well in Rome. Pope Francis is a Jesuit, a religious order that was formerly esteemed among scholars but which has been destroyed by liberalism, so it is not too surprising that he is weak in this area. I do not think he is gay but he is infected with leftism.

The full fallout of this continuing scandal is yet to be seen. In the meantime, the children, teens [mostly boys], young seminarians, etc., are the primary victims. Secondary victims are the majority of good priests who are suffering under the threat of false allegations, finger pointing, etc.; the laity of the Catholic Church, the reputation of all sincere Christians, and the full Body of Christ.

I’ll close with a prayer from the Divine Mercy Chaplet - For the Sake of His Sorrowful Passion, Have Mercy on us and on the Whole World.

It were far better that he and his had not allowed this carnal sect to gain and hold power while abusing the innocent.

Next time he should ask for the righteous integrity to openly combat evil at its inception - and failing that, to try actual repentance instead of just begging for forgiveness.

For those who do not repent of crimes against little ones, millstones would be better for them now than hellfire later. There will be judgment of every sin, one day.

Long ago I woke up from what seemed a prophetic dream where a loud speaker was blaring, “The pope has just announced that he has just become a Christian.” Maybe it was prophetic. Maybe this will be that pope. He sure seems like he should, for many reasons.

If the ‘priests’ were abusing children Pope Francis should call the police NOT call on God. Render on to Caesar... After he calls the police and the criminal are tried and sentenced to prison Prop Francis can meet them in prison and pray over them.
