A Grand Rapids, Michigan man accused of urinating on a 5-year-old girl was cleared of all charges Friday after police determined the child's story was fabricated.
A police spokesperson for the Grand Rapids Police Department confirmed to Fox News Friday night that no charges would be filed against 60-year-old David Allen Dean.
A 5-year-old girl, who was not identified, falsely claimed the man urinated on her as she was hiding in bushes while playing hide-and-seek with friends.

if this story had been posted here there would of been the usual pitch fork crowd...we need to wait and find out so many times because innocent people get hurt when there is an accusation and it is false.

Completely agree - though to this incident he is innocent, from something I read earlier he may have a sexual offense in his past, so concern would be warranted in any case.
Everytime I read one of these stories, my first thought is always, “Hoax.”
did McCain pay for a dossier about the alleged incident?
Before the apology was the man’s reputation, livelihood, friendships, et al totally destroyed?

Yes, but it was their parents who got to the truth and turned them in. So give credit where credit is due.
The police supposedly “examined” them, but of course the police had only one outcome in mind: Old white dude will make a good arrest.
It was the kids’ parents who had suspicions about the story (it turns out that one of the kids peed on another) and were honest enough to get to the bottom of it and tell the truth.
I fell for it, hook, line and sinker.
I should have waited.
Kids do make stuff up about adults that may seem strange or scary.
