DHS Ending Giant 'Administrative Closure' Amnesty
Breitbart ^ | 08/22/2018 | NEIL MUNRO

Posted on 08/23/2018 10:42:40 AM PDT by Rusty0604

Attorney General Jeff Sessions is reversing the closed-door “administrative closure” amnesty for 350,000 migrants which was quietly created by officials working for former President Barack Obama.

The huge amnesty was carried out by Obama’s judges in the immigration courts who told roughly 350,000 migrants that their case files were being placed in storage facilities instead of being used in trials to send them home.

But Sessions has ordered that the files be pulled from storage and sent back into the immigration courts, alarming immigration lawyers, and progressives.

The migration industry is denouncing the amnesty reversal as an intrusion on the rights and authority of immigration judges.

AILA wants the immigration courts to be taken away from Sessions’ Department of Justice, and instead be combined with the independent courts, under the Supreme Court and its array of progressive lobbyists in the universities and the pro-migration lobby groups.

an intrusion on the rights and authority of immigration judges

What? Like the rights and authority of the POTUS as stipulated in the Constitution? Those same rights and authority that judges seem to forget?

The administrative judges in immigration procedures are totally not independent but an arm of the executive branch, not the judiciary.

Really? These judges have a duty to uphold and execute the law. I don’t think “rights” are part of the discussion here. Sure, everyone has the right to refuse to do his or her job, but the employer also has a right to fire those people.

Congress controls it with appropriating the money, or more accurately, not appropriating the money.

If Sessions wants a longer backlog, by all means bring back those cases that were in the dead file.

While it may be understandable that ordinary folks do not know that all “judges” are not part of the judiciary, these glorified adjudicators should know. Their job is to make administrative determinations, not to create law. Possibly it would help to change their title to more accurately reflect the true responsibility.

The immigration judges should be able to be Federal judge-presidents, too!

With their very own replica Oval Office in their judge's chambers...

Sessions is quietly doing good work.

Guess what? Trump getting upset about him seems to keep the Left away from him in their bloodlust.

Since so many of The Donald’s other Tweets seem like a they are designed to purposefully keep the Left twitterpating why is it unbelievable that some are meant to keep them pacified and looking the other way?

The founders were correct to exclude form the presidency the children of foreign nationals, like Obama.
Too bad we had not one person among our elected and appointed who would stand for the Constitution.
