Findings will be “inconclusive” and the statue will have suffered too much damage to be re-erected.
I can’t recall anyone being prosecuted anywhere for damage and destrucrion to statues.

The university’s first reaction was probably to applaud the people who torn down the statue. Then they realized that the UNC alumni for the most part will probably not like it, so they have to pretend to be against the destruction.
UNC, aka Berkeley East Coast. Doubt the U really cares, though I know many of the alumni are not happy having landmarks of their school decapitated.
They should be put to work breaking rocks to raise the money to replace it.

My son was a student at Chapel Hill on a Carolina Scholarship and was stunned at the pervasive liberalism of all professors and university staff. He will never donate a penny to such a liberal institution...ever! Tearing down historical monuments is a total statement of liberal propaganda and ignorance.
Chapel Hill will probably give some lofty awards to all the punks that tore down the monument........
