What to Expect if Democrats Win the Midterms
American Thinker ^ | August 21, 2018 | Robert Oscar Lopez

Posted on 08/21/2018 4:13:16 AM PDT by fwdude

We may fantasize that conservatives constitute a massive invincible army against the left. None of this will help us if nobody is willing to show up for the fight. The midterm elections this fall could easily hand the Democrats a commanding lead in both the Senate and the House. We have no real reason to expect that conservatives will gather in large numbers to monitor the voting process for fraud. The fall surprises full of slander, innuendo, and social media mobbing will follow the pattern we saw in the Roy Moore election, with National Review writers like David French slamming Republican candidates and commentators like Matt Walsh and Ben Shapiro playing it safe by virtue-signaling if ominous accusations, no matter how unproven or unlikely, gain traction with the general public.

Food for thought. Robert’s points should make us look past the often empty enthusiasm and actually do something.

While lurking on another site, it was mentioned that 43 Republican incumbents are not running for re-election.

Whether that means that they are not up for re-election, or have decided to retire is unknown to me.

Anyone have the numbers?

It wouldn’t surprise me if there were that many dirty Republicans, unfortunately.

Yep - one of our biggest failings is that we talk a lot and then skimp on the financial donations and actual activities designed to further our cause....the other side never rests.

Others have said these are Republican committee chairmen who are term-limited out from remaining chairmen and they don't want to go back to being ordinary Congressmen, so they are choosing to walk away instead.

Yeah, but think of the upside!

So many Freepers will delight in a blue wave because it will be such a satisfying slap in the face to Ryan and McConnell.

Time to cash in on those lucrative corporate board memberships, lobbying gigs, and insider deals. Maybe some first class travel tapping the funds they’ve accumulated in those offshore bank accounts.

The list:

1) Trump Will Be Impeached but Probably Not Removed from Office

2) Conversion Therapy Will Be Banned Nationally, and a Sexual Police State Will Be Born

3) Congress Will Pass Open Borders Laws that Trump Will Veto

4) Conservatives Will Complain and Roll Over and Do Nothing (other than whine, moan, and point fingers while smugly smirking that they taught those Rinos a real lesson),

Not on list:
Pense follows DJT on the Impeachment trail
DJT Tax reform undone
Oil drilling made illegal
Coal burning outlawed
Natural gas prices skyrocket
Oil companies Nationalized
Brown outs and black outs become standard fare
Older people begin dying off
New tax hike bill retroactive to Jan 2017
Obamacare reinstated and made single payer
No funds for a wall
ICE disbanded
After having All his accomplishments rolled back by the House and Senate and nearly Removed from Office (survives by one vote changed at the last minute), DJT does not run in 2020.
Democrats complete their sweep in 2020; begin conversion nationwide to a Socialist form of Government modeled on the old Soviet Union.
Conservatives Complain, Whine, Make Macho Grandstanding Threats, Roll Over, Do Nothing ...

Yep. They will have taught them a real lesson! As a result of the Democrats full scale win, the Democrats go full socialist; and the former delight will turn to silence as Freepers begin to become oddly silent; those remaining will make threats about guns behind every blade of grass before they too go oddly silent ... As the donations dry up, FR goes down permanently.

But those Rinos have been taught a lesson they won’t soon forget!

If you don’t like any Republican candidate in your district, stay home in the Fall; if your district candidate is a Rino, stay home in the fall. If you insist on exercising your right to vote, vote Dem, show them whose boss!

Just don’t whine about the results ... Hold your head high, flash that smug smirk of the proud culture warrior and anti-Rino voter! President Pelosi will be proud of you. (no /satire, unfortunately)

They will kill the economy just like they did after the ‘06 elections and for the same reasons, to give the dim-0 candidate in 2020 something to run against.

THIS is what we had in ‘06 when Republicans held both houses of congress and the WH, and dem0s were running for control of congress promising “CHANGE.” How’re yall liking the “CHANGE?”

2006 unemployment #s
4.7...jan.
4.8...feb.
4.7...march
4.7...april
4.7...may
4.6...june
4.7...july
4.7...aug.
4.5...sep.
4.4...oct.
4.5...nov.
4.4...dec.

http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet…;

When Republicans had both houses and the WH.........................http://www.icmarc.org/xp/rc/marketview/ ... oduct.html

The 1st quarter of ‘06 saw 4.8% growth in GDP. Then came demos running for control of congress promising “CHANGE.” They won, and after 2 years in power, things HAVE “CHANGED” GDP growth dropped to negative 6%. Happy with your “CHANGE?”

The nation was 40% wealthier

The nation still had a AAA credit rating

12,621.77
January 24, 2007
DOW open and close
Deficit in january ‘07, 1.2%

Covered that one with: Democrats complete their sweep in 2020; begin conversion nationwide to a Socialist form of Government modeled on the old Soviet Union.

Under the Soviets, Christianity was outlawed. The left will not need to pass anything; all new laws and regulations will simply be declared. President Pelosi and her successors will simply make things ‘happen’ - according to their whims of the moment.

A Pelosi house won’t be much different than a Ryan house. We won’t be hearing threats about holding people in contempt for not providing documents or cooperating with oversite. But I don’t care about threats. Have Rosenstein arrested and I’ll be impressed. Complain about him to Tucker Carlson and I don’t see much difference in an R or D.

Senate and Trump can stop anything Pelosi wants to do. But so what? Other than tax cuts, Ryan’s house has been useless. I don’t expect a budget this year but maybe Ryan can do one good thing before he leaves.

We MAY get good things if Ryan is gone and Rs keep the house. But I expect D-lite, not a conservative house.

I hope Rs keep the house. But not excited about that or scared about Pelosi.

The 2022 employment figures under President Pelosi will reflect her inspired notion that the more people are unemployed, the more money the economy generates, the 1000 fold increase in food stamps and the issuance of fuel ration books will be a tremendous boost to the lagging, hurtful Trump ‘so called’ economy.

The nation will have a C+ to D- credit rating, which which is easier for the common folk to understand because those were the highest grades they got in school.

A Pelosi house

You mean under a President Pelosi House ... There will be a D heavy House and well as a D heavy Senate ...

Under the New Ds you will not only see a difference but personally - like most of the rest of us here - experience the joys of being ‘disappeared’ ... (hint: they won’t be building any new prisons ...)

This will be one for the records.

New records will be set.

The nation has seen democrat election fraud before but never anything of the magnitude democrats are planning for this November!
