D.C. is one-party consent on recordings, which means Trump not knowing he was being recorded wouldn’t be illegal in itself. Of course Mueller would be looking at a bigger picture than just that, which is probably what you’re alluding to. She’s so radioactive he’d probably want to steer clear to avoid the association. OTOH I could imagine him being intrigued with the possibility that she had managed to record something useful to him.
Keep in mind that a friend of hers gave her advice for the Apprentice that she has chosen to live by. “You don’t have to win just make sure America knows your name”.
However using those recordings in a criminal proceeding would be problematic at best. Trump has Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination which these tapes could violate. Mueller using them would taint his investigation, and having anything to do with Omarosa in the first place would smear anything he's doing. The woman hasn't got a shred of credibility.
Mueller and Nifong can collaborate on a book on prosecutorial ethics when this is over.
If so, two things are going to happen:
1. Omarosa to be prosecuted for violation of the law;
2. Recordings can't be used by Mueller because they're considered poison fruit under the law.
Mr. Sessions, please pick up a white courtesy phone. Omarosa needs to be arrested.

Again l think the biggest risk is a political. I can see mueller’s Rat squad getting the tapes and feeding them to MSM and you know the rest
