The US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) dealt a lethal blow to the so-called caliphate a week ago, when their troops seized the last border points that were under the Islamic States control in eastern Syria.
According to the official spokesperson for the SDF, their troops managed to capture the entire desert of eastern Deir Ezzor and secure the Al-Hasakah provincial border that weekend.

Elsewhere in Syria (Suweida) the last rump of the Caliphate is currently collapsing to Assasd-affiliated forces (small black oval in the SW).
Such tiny maps.
Too hard to read, sorry.
Gee, that’s too bad....
Are U totally internet retarded?
Thanks for posting a larger map in response to Alas Babylon!’s problem.
He/she may be using a smart phone and that could be why the map appeared to be too small.
This larger map you posted should help.
Caliphate cash paydays to the Savages are getting fewer and further between.
Love that Assad hold out area in NE Syria.
Probably a great story.

Ditto.
I appreciate analog graphical data in the highest resolution available.
It’s a thing...
I should have known something was going on because some MSM rag was complaining about our troops and claiming they were fighting with Al-Qaeda.
Hangem High!!!
“Liberated” by SDF jihadis. I guess sometimes it’s just not gonna be your day.
It’s going so well for Syria that it’s already moving troops to Idlib, the green area in the NW.
That could be as black as green though.
Syria has bombed rebel areas in the South and then let the enemy go to Idlib and Aleppo (to the W of Idlib) instead of fight. So those provinces are full of terrorists, mostly Turkey-backed.
Surprised Syria is going for it as soon as it looks like they will.
No headscarves in formation:

CNN and MSLSD hardest hit. They’ll wear black armbands on tomorrow’s shows.
Oh God, not those chicks again. Somehow you always forget to include the wahabbist head choppers including AQ. SDF is basically every jihadi rebel besides ISIS, plus those kurd chicks.

Here is where SDF ambushed a Marine and shot him at a firebase.
SDF is simply another bunch of brutal mideast murderers. They just happen to serve the neocon purpose and perpetuate the farce that some Syrian rebels are good.
There are literally thousands of those those chicks, who have been engaging in firefights with the real jihadis for years. The YPG (the male units) and YPJ have been the effective force that has defeated ISIS on the ground in the yellow areas of the Syrian map.
They know the jihadi headchopper type well, and they are directly opposed to them.
I hope you know that SouthFront is a Russian propaganda outlet (Syria is to the South of Russia - their Southern Front). They actively try to divide their enemies with disinformation.
So thousands of people (10s of thousands in total) fight and defeat ISIS over several years of grueling combat, but you dismiss that as proving their anti-jihadi credentials. On the other hand, Russians allege a single incident (that the US Government denies), and you accept that to damn them all.
It seems that you might have confused the SDF with the FSA (Free Syrian Army), which the USA used to support under Obama, which did include lots of re-fried jihadis, from a witches brew of groups.
They are now concentrated in the NorthWest of Syria (Idlib, Afrin and al Bab), and Turkey is trying to form them into a more professional looking semblance of an army, which they apparently plan to call the “National Army”. Maybe they plan to soon declare independence from Syria, to join Turkey.
