US-North Korea Headed for a War as Kim-Jong-un Declines To Denuclearize?

Is the US-North Korea War inevitable despite the Singapore summit? While the US-North Korea Summit earlier this year marked a historic event in the making of global denuclearisation, Kim-Jong-un has turned down all proposals of denuclearisation made by the Trump Administration. Pyongyang has blatantly refused to give up on its nuclear arsenal out of goodwill as it finds the US proposals ‘gangster like.’

North Korea Will Not Denuclearise

As reported by Sputnik News, North Korea has taken a complete dislike to the proposal made by Washington for denuclearisation. The North Korean government reportedly highlighted its efforts made in good faith. These efforts include Pyongyang’s decisions to discontinue nuclear missile tests and also to return the dead remains of the fallen US soldiers.

Despite the Singapore summit the US has been incessantly asking nations to impose sanctions on North Korea. Facing similar challenges from the unilateralism of the US, Russia, China and Iran have extended support to North Korea and a big anti-US alliance seems to be brewing. Iran and Russia too are facing sanctions from the US while China is fighting a massive trade war with Washington given Trump’s protectionism.

US-North Korea Relations Back To Square One?

The meeting between Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un in Singapore was hailed globally as an initiation of global peace. The US called the summit highly successful and stated that North Korea had agreed to denuclearization. These reports sent cheer all across the world which was otherwise concerned about the magnifying tussle between the US and North Korea. But now things seem to be changing again and the Singapore summit is becoming irrelevant for things may go back to square one again.

I seriously doubt back to square one. They may delay to see if Republicans lose Congress and thus undermine Trump but otherwise, I see this moving forward. Bet we will see a meeting between the two again before the end of the year.

So what? They don't have to like it.

Not as much is lost as some might think. Of course the lying media and the socialist politicians are going to say the summit was a huge failure in efforts to make Trump look bad. Problem is, this is the furthest from the truth.

I’ve spent about half my life observing people like Kim and his word is never what it says it is. He is the worst type of liar as everything he says is either in question with nothing but time to become another lie. He is a self proposed bully that is about as powerful as the flea going after the dog. But Trump, with the way he handled this, was the most powerful man in the world offering the branch of peace and the whole world knows that. It was not Trump who chose to break their word, it was Kim.

And Kim knows he gains nothing by choosing to make war except casualties and he has no support with the tools he needs to even make a dent in what he will face. And everyone knows we can starve him out if we wish to. He does, too.

I believe that it’s China that’s calling Kim’s shots. This current problem is payback for Trump’s tariff stance.

The first summit was just to get Kim to "agree" to beginning the process to work something out. In the meantime the sanctions are still squeezing him.

The next talks will be to get Kim to actually consider doing something. The sanctions will keep on squeezing.

The third summit will either be an agreement (verifiable) or Kim surrendering. The sanctions will remain until results are achieved.

Kim Jong Un is a shameless murderer and a liar who threatens our major cities with the most unspeakable weapons.

He is no different than his grandfather and his father whom at both their hands died tens of thousands of American soldiers, and many NK citizens. It’s in the Kim Family DNA and he is full...of...crap. I don’t know why anyone would ever want to believe him or pal around him—you are only going to get screwed in the end—but I will cut the President some slack perhaps in first positioning himself as being able to say to the World “Look, I tried peace with NK in good faith” before reverting to his pre-March 2018 pragmatic position of Maximum Pressure.

“They may delay to see if Republicans lose Congress and thus undermine Trump but otherwise,”

While most Americans know and understand nothing about the internal politics of other nations, the opposite is true of other nations. When GW Bush slapped a tariff on steel to garner votes in Pennsylvania, our trading partners, using clauses in our then trading agreements, slapped retaliatory tariffs on products made in areas Bush also needed to carry. The retaliation was laser targeted by district. Bush relented and cancelled the tariff. That level of understanding, and the disparity of understanding, is frightening.

Incidentally, Bush, if he’d had the knowhow, could have done what Trump has done. But he didn’t, or couldn’t. Or, perhaps he wasn’t interested in disrupting the new world order which so favored the rest of the planet at America’s expense.
