Iran’s war with Yemen overthrew the gov’t of Yemen; that was aided by Syria’s Assad back when his authority extended beyond the walls of his compound. The Saudis and other Gulf States intervened to fight Iran’s terrorist proxies. Iran’s presence and/or proxies in Yemen, Eritrea, and Djibouti are there to threaten the shipping lanes, a stretegem in their ongoing war against the West.
