Rick Newman

um, words cannot express the thickness of such moronic reasoning.

Rick, Kamala, Bernie....you guys like government controlled health care? Then DUMP any private doctors you have and go for it.

I'll take a more free market as opposed to a less free one, thanks.

Seriously. This is full retard, as Robert Downey Junior would say.

This is what they wanted all the time...single gov’t payor BS. This was what Obamacare was all about. To have it crash and burn so you’ll beg for gov’t health care.

I’m sick of the subversive criminal traitors.

Government controlled healthcare is cost effective only when the government has control over both the supply and demand of healthcare. Where the government has the ability to demand work from health care providers such as doctors and nurses, at lower than market prices - i.e. soft slavery -AND- can restrict the healthcare delivered - i.e. rationing of services.

The natural result of this is a two tier healthcare system. One for the masses and a separate system where those who can afford better care pay for it. Either through legal clinics or black market or via tourist healthcare.

They want the government to handle this? A decade ago it was stated that out of every $ 6.00 slated for welfare only $ 1.00 went to a recipient. The other $ 5.00 was government overhead.

The other side of the coin is businesses, individuals, states and others are not going to be paying these costs. They’re going to be given to the federal government.”

I'll be damned. And all this time I thought businesses, individuals, the states that those two are in, and others WERE the federal gov't. Jesus! These idiots still believe in a free lunch.

Part of the savings is that he’s just going to fix payments to doctors at 40% less than what is due. I’m not sure why he doesn’t go for 100% less. That would save a lot.

Well if it is gping to “save” businesses trillion$ then you know it is going to cost individuals trillion$.

And what are ALL insurance mandate laws about? If they are not total government takeover and running an industry = like the National Health Service in the U.K. - they insure the true recievers of the money involved (the industry that gets paid by the “insurance”) will (a) get its money no matter what, and (b) never have market incentives to lower its costs.

In the U.S. it is totally true that American socialists are the worst in the world. While pretending to help the little guy they help huge industries become even more wasteful and unaccountable to market forces, because the socialists strip their markets from any force by the consumer, diverting everything through 3rd parties, like “insurance” companies who don’t really care if the end costs - health care - actually get lowered or not.

The communists celebrate the destructiion their “Liberal” “Progressive” and “Socialist” fellow travelers do, knowing full well that destruction is intentional, if their plans are ever to be realized, to build on its ashes.

First step is medicare for all. Second step is “means testing” medicare. Which means working people don’t get it.

There are some businesses that would like nothing better than to shove their employee health care costs onto the public balance sheet.

Do not doubt me.

there would be lower overhead because there would only be one administrative structure...

That administrative structure is in place largely because of govt regulation.

Government, writing regulations that fail as a problem to be fixed, so that they can "fix" it.

This is one of those lamed brain ideas that liberals come up with that makes perfect sense to them. They never consider the unintended consequences! If they reduce the payments to Drs and other medical providers, they will get less of them. Who wants to go into medicine and assume tremendous debt, only to not be paid fairly for your work? We all know rationing is also part of this grand plan. It is not possible, there is not enough money in the world, to give all Americans free, unlimited healthcare.

The Idiot that wrote this is living in an alternative universe.....

‘Save businesses TRILLIONS....’ while the U.S. national debt get over 32.6 TRILLION added to its debt. Hear is what the author does not have a clue on: such added debt would lead to a near instantaneous financial/economic U.S. implosion which would then hit the entire world. Yeah, wtg useless Idiot tool!

They might be able to save businesses money but we, the taxpayers, would be stuck paying for it with massive income tax increases.

My mother has Medicare. I do NOT wish this upon anyone. We are already approaching terminal velocity. This bone-headed proposition would accelerate the crash.

To my experience, health care is not a free market. I wish it was. How can it be a free market when you don’t know the cost of anything until after you have bought it? Even if you could somehow order up a procedure like you can buy a tent on Amazon, every service provider in town is most likely owned by the same parent company. Most non-government health insurance is paid for by employers, so you don’t even get a free market choice there. Most costs are decided between negotiations between insurance companies and health care providers. You don’t get a seat at that table, so guess who ends up eating the cost? I’m not sure that Medicare for all is the right answer, but our health care system sure as hell has a problem.

Where do they think the Federal Government would get those trillions of dollars they would be "saving businesses"??????

It would end up costing businesses much more than it does now and reduce the workforce....which is the goal of socialists ....
