“One for the masses and a separate system where those who can afford better care pay for it.”
You forgot the third group that’s always associated with socialist programs - politicians and connected people - the ones that get to go to the front of the line or go to better facilities.
There's only one hole where FedGov workers stick their heads.
They might be able to save businesses money but we, the taxpayers, would be stuck paying for it with massive income tax increases.
Gov Employee Insurance Co
Few people know this.
“They want the government to handle this? A decade ago it was stated that out of every $ 6.00 slated for welfare only $ 1.00 went to a recipient. The other $ 5.00 was government overhead.”

You are aware that the Government is “White Collar Welfare!”
If we ended all of the “phony-baloney jobs” there would be mass hysteria and the MILLIONS of gubmint “workers would take to the streets, armed, to kill us all.
That is why the 2nd Amendment is so essential to keep. To protect us from the gubmint workers.
My mother has Medicare. I do NOT wish this upon anyone. We are already approaching terminal velocity. This bone-headed proposition would accelerate the crash.
To my experience, health care is not a free market. I wish it was. How can it be a free market when you don’t know the cost of anything until after you have bought it? Even if you could somehow order up a procedure like you can buy a tent on Amazon, every service provider in town is most likely owned by the same parent company. Most non-government health insurance is paid for by employers, so you don’t even get a free market choice there. Most costs are decided between negotiations between insurance companies and health care providers. You don’t get a seat at that table, so guess who ends up eating the cost? I’m not sure that Medicare for all is the right answer, but our health care system sure as hell has a problem.
I waited 3 1/2 hours yesterday to see a doctor for 2 minutes, because there is a single after-hours clinic operating in an area with 90,000 people, with one doctor. They only take 30 patients (first come, first served) on Sunday and each evening. Why? Because private clinics are illegal in Canada and government rationing will only permit this type of after-hours coverage. The other option is the hospital emergency room where patients are triaged, which often takes less serious cases 10 or more hours to be seen.
The doctor gets paid $45 per patient, so $1350 for a 3-hour shift. If they permitted private clinics on evenings and weekends, there would be no shortage of young doctors willing to work to pay off their med-school loans. Single payer leads to rationing and people dying waiting for treatment.
It would end up costing businesses much more than it does now and reduce the workforce....which is the goal of socialists ....
Someone has to pay for it - with higher taxes.
People always reject the trade-off. If youre paying for it, its not really free.
Liberals think the rest of us are born idiots.
The massive tax increases alone to finance their scheme will throttle our economy.
Sure, if there was a free lunch, we would all like to line up fot it.
That isnt a Medicare For All - not when it costs $32 trillion and change.
If money grew on trees, we could have everything according to our hearts desire in life.
The real world doesnt work that way and some people live in dangerous ignorance about it.
I have 3 letters for the author: N.H.S.
Sheesh.
Obamacare worked so well it devastated the Democrat Party.
Apparently, they want to double down on it on the theory this time, theyll get it right.
The American people dont like government-run health care. Period.
yup
