'Kicking their butts': D'Souza unleashes on his movie critics

The discrepancy in the reaction to Dinesh D’Souza’s new film and companion book “Death of a Nation” between establishment media and audiences couldn’t be sharper.

The movie-review aggregating site Rotten Tomatoes gives the film, which opened in theaters Friday night, a zero score from critics and 86 percent approval from audiences, while the independent polling group CinemaScore found audiences grade it an A.

Most establishment media outlets have ignored the film, but reviews by Variety (D’Souza is “no longer preaching to the choir; he’s preaching to the mentally unsound”) and by a Washington Post reporter typify those who have paid attention.

The Post’s Isaac Stanley-Becker writes that D’Souza presents a “warped, unrecognizable world” that amounts to a “revisionist account of history and contemporary politics,” noting it boasts the endorsement of Donald Trump Jr.

Presuming D’Souza’s arguments are absurd on their face, the Post writer characterizes the filmmaker’s main points this way: “In a version of reality remote from our own, Hitler was a liberal. Slavery was an outgrowth of socialist principles. And the Democrats have updated the cotton plantation for modern times.”

Well of course it will be panned. First of all, the folks that will most likely see it are already on board. Second, if those that NEED to see actually did, we'd get the same old argument. That was the OLD democratic party. Now it's the republicrats who stand for all that evil and hate. We've all heard it again and again and again. But, thanks Dinesh.

Saw it over the weekend. Pretty good. I would recommend. Have your kids watch it especially.

Go to imdb.com and rate it high. The lefties were bashing the film there. Must be because they hate Indian immigrants. Such bigots.

Remember when Spielberg withheld Lincoln until after the election because he didn’t want to “confuse” voters with the fact the Democrats were the villains.

D’Souza presents a “warped, unrecognizable world”

When Leftists talk about reality what they're really talking about is "their reality" ... the way they envision things to be; often quite different from the way things really are. (I enjoy it because it's a clear indication of the depth of Leftists' anguish, which is a good thing to behold.)

Oh the irony that is lost on today’s socialist plantation managers.....

They might gain a little insight into what occured during the revolution if they watch “TURN; Washington’s spies”. I kept looking up the characters in the series and yup, most of them were actual people. Of course hollywood dolled them up from the portraits I saw. YIKES! LOL! We plan to go see Dinesh’s latest this week.

A county whose president has you arrested and indicted and convicted on a trivial matter is a dying nation. A nation whose president uses his power to actively favor those who cry “death to America” is a dying nation.

Trump’s election has given America’s death a reprieve.

Gee, film critics think like the elites - Quelle surprise!

Dinesh fleshes out the Nazi-Socialist-Democrat similarities very effectively.

Don’t say Nazi. Instead, say National Socialist. Most dims don’t know what it means and will soon be on board because socialism.

My best friend and her husband went to see the movie Sat night after having dinner with us. We decided not to go as I have seen his stuff before and it’s good info but not life changing. She told me yesterday the movie was OK not great. She said it had a lot of good information but the reenactments were grade B stuff.

His contention (D’Souza), citing a Yale scholar among others, is that the Nazis modeled their notorious Nuremberg Laws, the centerpiece of anti-Jewish legislation, on the Democratic Party’s Jim Crow laws.

Liberals will absolutely not accept that the Democrat party is the party of slavery and segregation. Needs to be pointed out every time they open their mouths.

Alabama voted Democrat until the mid-80’s. But according to liberals here the Democrat’s were actually Republicans. Really.

Have you ever asked someone who won the Civil War, Republicans or Democrats?? the response is usually quite entertaining.

Figured I was safe in using the term Nazi in this forum.

Not many I would describe as "dim" here.

Ditto. Hubby and I went yesterday morning and took our 30 yo daughter with us.

Perhaps the "critics" and lefties were upset by his showing that the violent and racist people in America are on the LEFT! Not the right. As he terms it: The Big Lie.

Thanks for posting this.
We saw the film Sat evening with perhaps a 18 others theatre attendees.
The film was very factual covering the left’s history of oppression and bloody revolution.
Please support it by attending a showing near you, sign the lift the cinema ban petition at:

Fandango.com is not readily showing where the film is playing.
Go to Dinesh’s site to find where it’s playing near your zip code.
