After a day of tension between the White House and CNN, the crowd at President Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on Thursday night broke out into chants of “CNN sucks” when the president blasted "fake news."
Trump at the rally in Wilkes-Barre cited multiple examples of what he called "fake news," including saying the “fake news refused to call” Pennsylvania for him during the 2016 presidential election.
The crowd responded with boos and jeers, with some chanting, “CNN sucks.”
Trump later returned to the issue of the media during the rally, asking, "Whatever happened to fair press? Whatever happened to honest reporting?"
He also referred to the media as "horrible, horrendous people" and "disgusting."
The rally took place just hours after White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to say the media is not the enemy of the people during a press briefing, after being pressed to make the statement by CNN's Jim Acosta.
“I think the president has made his position known,” Sanders said. “It’s ironic, Jim, that not only you and the media attack the president for his rhetoric when they frequently lower the level of conversation in this country.”
Acosta walked out of the briefing after Sanders wouldn't make the statement.
Acosta also faced heckling from the crowd at a Trump rally earlier this week.

Just watched his whole speech. He referred to the fake news perhaps a dozen times but that was to point out their fakeness by omitting coverage of the good things Trump has done. The fake media is focussing on perhaps 20 seconds of the whole speech minus the context. They can’t help it, they are so deranged that they must prove their fakeness over and over.
Trump is right.
The idiot media and a few others just can’t get over that Hillary lost and the American people wanted Trump as president.
All I want is for EVERY Trump rally from now on to have a giant, all-in “CNN SUCKS!!! Chant for at least a solid minute, right in a place where it can’t be cut out of coverage.

The longer this goes on....the more it reminds me of a young juvenile who simply can’t get their way, and they seize onto daily events to retreat back to the original tirade. Like some 12-year-old kid.
I personally suspect that out of every dozen people who voted for Hillary....the juvenile aspect is driving them away from the DNC, and they will be Trump-voters in 2020.
The country is in a civil war by proxy. The media, democrats, jihadis on one side, US on the other side.
They really really don’t like it when we play by their rules.
The msm is the enemy of the people, at least the people who voted for President Trump. They’ve smirked and sneered at Trump voters since before they were Trump voters, at least starting with Hillary’s “deplorable” label. They ran with that, and have never let up.

A ‘Press’ that surreptitiously funnels the Presidential Debate questions to one of the candidates is clearly an enemy of the people,
a propaganda arm of a political party and worthy of having derision heaped upon it.
It is my hope that new ownership will chart a different course.
