Go offend a liberal. It doesnt matter. The left gets offended over everything. Literally. They will find a reason to be upset about something. The ultimate goal of a leftist is to shut up the opposition. By taking the fifth rule of Saul Alinsky, ridicule is mans most potent weapon, liberals try to shut up anyone with whom they dont agree. To render the fifth rule ineffective, the recipient of leftist attacks must not care and voice their beliefs.
Charles Davis is the dean of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia. Recently, a childhood friend of his, Brian Kemp, won a Republican primary in the state of Georgia. Davis took to Twitter and publically congratulated Kemp with the following Tweet: I went to high school with the GOP guv candidate @BrianKempGA. We played YMCA ball from childhood. Politics be damned. He is a nice guy, always was. Kind to a fault. Hes a friend, always has been, and will be when were old(er) and grey(er). Thats how all this should work, people.
Davis is exactly right. That tweet was kind and dignified. There was nothing political about it. He congratulated a life-long, childhood friend and there is nothing wrong with that. He acted like an adult. It sounded like that Davis is probably a Democrat and was putting politics aside to congratulate a lifelong friend with a mature gesture. If so, this outrage is another example of leftists eating their own to push their agenda.
However, some leftists saw the tweet. At that point, Davis formed a bulls eye on his back and became nothing more than a target for harassment. He was called names, and insulted to the point he issued an apology tweet that read, Id like to issue an apology to anyone offended by my tweet shout out to Brian Kemp Ive read and learned so much from you all and will endeavor to be more thoughtful.
The only thing that Davis could have reasonably learned from this experience is that the left is unreasonable and unhinged.
A mob on Twitter bullied Davis. He told a childhood friend good job for winning, then allowed himself to get shut down by a chronically angry group of keyboard warriors. The left cant intentionally teach anyone. If someone learns from them, it is because he or she was a victim or an astute outside observer of their antics.
The left attacks a person mercilessly until they cower in submission if they dont agree. Submitting is the wrong way to handle the left. They are never offended, only continuously angry and looking for the next target.
There must be pushback on leftists. Davis quickly gave in, and now he is a victim. If one pushes back hard enough, they will move on to someone else. Instead, Davis should have valued his childhood friend, and blown off the raging leftists.
There is no way to offend a leftist because they are in a constant state of the offense.
It doesnt matter when a liberal is offended. They attack people who dont 100 percent agree with them, regardless of political affiliation.
If educating the left is offensive to them, keep offending them.
I offend hundreds of them every day by just driving down the Street with the “TRUMP 45” Vanity License Plates on my Car.
I’m sure the guy driving the Prius with the big OBAMA Sticker on his Car must have had a convulsion when I drove by him.
The article is spot-on. My sister travels to various high schools to do presentations. In talking with her about what changes she has seen over 15 years of doing this, she says that the current crop of high school students have no sense of humor. They won’t laugh, they don’t make jokes, because they are afraid of “offending” someone.
The death of humor is the death of freedom.
The left attacks a person mercilessly until they cower in submission if they dont agree.
I simply don’t submit. Ever.
One reason why Trump is so effective is that he doesnt let the lefts antics get his goat.
Twitter is where Leftist Wet Dreams go to die.
Correct.
OTOH, my kids are a riot. Olympic level sarcastic. Trump voters. They love winning and don’t care who’s offended.
He looked round with an air of insolent effrontery. His face, covered with pimples, was neither thoughtful nor even contemptuous; it wore an expression of complacent satisfaction in demanding his rights and in being an aggrieved party

And for the most part, its so easy to do!

“Annoy a liberal....buy another gun”.
I have been extremely annoying just this year alone.

Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.
I meant happiness as they can know it.
As I expressed yesterday in this thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3675526/posts
... the Left has produced a large number of people who are in their attitudes essentially Pointlanders in the 3D world. Asyou note, they’re little balls of ego.
Time and again I’ve pointed out how producing such persons is in fact among the great harms that government welfare causes.
Unlike with actual charity -— where people give others gifts from out of their own means and at their own discretion, where the understandable temptation for those receiving the gifts is to be thankful -— when people are generous with their votes, with other people’s means taken from them by force, should we expect gratitude from those who are fed the message that others taking care of them is their due, even an entitlement simply because they are here? Or is it entirely reasonable since they are entitled that they should feel someone is holding out on them, that they are being cheated?
Where true charity tends to produce only good in the lives of those who take care of their neighbors and those who receive the care, ennobling both, government welfare tends to produce only bad.
On the one hand everyone is forced to basically give at the office, they can resent it, resign themselves to it or pat themselves on the back that they’ve done good with their votes ... but NONE of them are actually looking after the needs of their neighbors themselves with those resources. Moreover the means by which they might open their hands to others are eroded accordingly even if they don’t become resentful.
On the other hand, as I’ve already indicated, those receiving the benefits are effectively denied the opportunity to practice gratitude even if they can resist resentment that they are being held out on. This helps to breed what I call ungrateful pukes, people who imagine themselves to be utterly entitled. Everything that holds them back easily becomes someone else’s doing.
Both the “giver” and “receiver” are cheated of opportunities to engage with each other ... welfare is then a bit like a condom that seeks to deny life while someone gets serviced: government welfare is the professionals “doing good” with money that isn’t their own to benefit people they were hired to service (no matter how they, those paying the tab, or those getting the help may feel). They’re the proverbial raincoat on what isn’t really charity but is made out to be even better than charity.
His tweeting does resemble some kind of psi-op at times.
The Dean of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Georgia needed just two words of communication to use in reply to the Twitter Twits who attacked him for congratulating a childhood friend. Surprisingly, “F***” and “You”, must be missing from his lexicon. Apologizing to bullies only makes them bolder.
It’s the first thing I liked about him as president. His tweets drove the left nuts.
The Dean could use those two words you mentioned, but there is one powerful factor you should not forget -— HIS JOB.
BLOGAAT (Buy Lots Of Guns And Ammo Today)
Oh, and reloading equipment, too.
That seems to offend “liberals.”
“Drives” ... present tense.
*squeee! Heheh!* (rubs hands together)
Yep, offense is the best defense
