President Trump ripped the Koch brothers one day after the political network formed by the billionaire conservative businessmen said it would not support a Republican Senate candidate in North Dakota
The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade, Trump said in a series of tweets early Tuesday.
I never sought their support because I dont need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more. I made them richer. Their network is highly overrated, I have beaten them at every turn, he added.
They want to protect their companies outside the U.S. from being taxed, Im for America First & the American Worker - a puppet for no one. Two nice guys with bad ideas. Make America Great Again!
Americans for Prosperity president Tim Phillips announced at a donor summit on Monday in Colorado Springs, Colo. that the network would not support Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) in his bid to unseat incumbent Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.).
Phillips cited Cramers support for the Export Import Bank, the farm bill and the $1.3 trillion spending package for the decision.
Hes inconsistent across the board on these issues, Phillips said. We cant support him at this time and weve met with his team, explained this and lobbied them on this.
Heitkamp is seen as one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats up for reelection. Trump carried North Dakota by more than 30 points.
The Koch network is backing GOP Senate candidates in Wisconsin, Missouri, Tennessee and Florida.
Charles Koch said on Sunday that his network would be more aggressive in going after Republicans who have not adhered to fiscally conservative principles.
I regret some of the [lawmakers] we have supported, Koch told a small group of reporters in a rare interview. "Were gonna more directly deal with that and hold people accountable."
Koch also said hes hopeful his network can support more Democrats going forward.
The Kochs pretend to be libertarian. But they support invasion, invaders taking what doesn’t belong to them, and extortion.
Globalist Koch brothers
First President in history to use “globalist” as a pejorative.
I think Trump was the best pick( by God and man) since George Washington. Laughing and winning every day. No downside so far. The never Trumpers, socialists and globalists have been outing themselves BIGLY since November 6th.2016. MAGA
Yes, for THEMSELVES! They have joined Hitler acolyte George Soros in attacking Trump.
I’m with ya Lurk!
How about the part where it’ll COST the American taxpayers $32 TTTTTTTTRILLION over 10 years! Sheesh!
What were Cramer’s positions on trade, Trump and illegals?
That’s all the Kochs really care about.
Like they suddenly get religion on reducing spending and government?
Look at all the big spending, statist Republicans they have supported over the years...
Then throw your head back and laugh.
Koch / Plutocrat / Democrat bump for later.....
Amazing what can be said by a president who doesn’t need your money!!! Love Trump!!
You know , I never focused on this. I naively assumed the Kochs were benevolent and republicans. Well, this has opened my eyes. I can tell you that it answers a lot of questions. John Cornyn is fiercely anti-Trump.Texas is fiercely pro Trump. I started noticing when he started discounting the WALL as not “realistic”, He started this nebulous subjective crap about “Border Security” . When ever you hear that without the WALL flee is disgust.I now see what happened. Cornyn ; along with McConnell and Paul RINO sold their souls to the Kochs on open borders, cheap illegal alien labor and not stopping their offshore transfer of American Jobs~!!. I see it now clear as a bell. This is all about the NEW republican Party!! The Trump Republican party, GOP stands for GLOBALIST OLD PARTY and it is gone.
Which is more deplorable
Selling your vote for a $$$ million or in a fit of sanctimonious purist spite not voting at all?
the Koch brothers are just pseudo-libertarian versions of that leftist billionaire nutjob Tom Steyer ...
I see it now clear as a bell. This is all about the NEW republican Party!! The Trump Republican party, GOP stands for GLOBALIST OLD PARTY and it is gone.
People like the Amnesty Brothers prefer progressive Democrats to the Trump voting GOP base. It’s that simple. POTUS has exposed an entire generation of GOP corporist America Lasters for all to see and they hate him/us for it.
You are on to a good concept, Trump has “exposed” them like termites in the attic eating away our home. Watch his rally tonight. I have a feeling the people will explode in favor of Trump especially tonight. He is a tsunami now. They can’t stop him. WE GET THE WALL or you guys shut the government down because he told you way back in March!! Knowing that— Dont bring him a budget CR or DHS funding bill unless YOU want to shut the government down!! If YOU want the nonessential to continue then YOU fund the damned wall and the rest of it. YOU DECIDE!! Watch this huge crowd push the WALL tonight!!
Hey, I dont know about the second, but my vote is for sale for $9 billion.
I could do a lot of good with that... plus it would take the money away from the Koch brothers.
If it makes you feel better, Ill buy a Democrat vote for $100 to make up for selling mine.
p
You mean like when the Bushes, all of whose boots you never miss a chance to lick, refused to vote for Trump in the 2016 election out of spite?
There's little doubt that the various Never Trump Republicans (the Bushes and their fans, Bill Kristol-type neoconservatives, and Koch Brothers libertarians) will try to field a candidate to challenge Trump in the 2020 primaries. I look forward to seeing their candidate of choice falling flat on his face.
Very astute point, and to add to it, George Soros’ vision only includes the promise of a welfare state, not the reality. It’s not possible in any time frame worth thinking about to provide a welfare state for 7.5 billion people.
Great to see Trump clarify the battle lines here.
