(CNN)Civil rights icon and Georgia congressman Rep. John Lewis has been hospitalized but is expected to be released Sunday, his spokeswoman says.
Spokeswoman Brenda Jones told CNN that Lewis is under routine observation but she did not give details of the nature of his illness or where he is hospitalized.
CNN affiliate WSB-TV reported that Lewis was being treated at a hospital in metro Atlanta, and the station quoted unnamed sources as saying Lewis became ill on a flight to Atlanta on Saturday.

That man is the epitome of evil. People just have no idea. He is one of the worst Congressmen in all of Congress.
And I can’t imagine anyone coming out of the 5th District being much better. Next door in the 4th, Cynthia McKinney gave way to Hank “Guam Tipping” Scott. Big deal. Same idiocy on votes, just less vociferous.
Sure would be nice to find out if he REALLY supports today’s Democrat Party, the one sending LGBTs into our classrooms (and drag queens into our libraries in Houston). And also have illegal Hispanics now driving blacks out of lower-paid jobs.

He also told that big whopper about how Donald Trump's inauguration was the first ever he skipped, when in fact he did the same for George W. Bush in 2000. Even the left-leaning PolitiFact gave Lewis a pants on fire rating for that one.
I agree. He’s evil, thoroughly dishonest and a lifetime enemy of the bill of rights. He and his whitey hating fellow black democrats are a major source of racial problems in the USA today. He and McCain should drop dead.

I do not consider that a point in ANYONE's favor. Quite the contrary, at this point. The so-called "civil rights" movement turned out to be quite the disaster. It did not "fix" America. It has come perilously close to destroying America ... we have yet to see if it succeeds.
Not an “icon”. An “idol”.
Notice how they put a label on people. george soros is a “philanthropist.” Michael Savage is a “conservative” talk show host.
