To me, this has the makings of another Mittens “47% of the voters...” comment. Hitlery’s “basket of deplorables” line was just mean-spirited, much like the woman herself. Mittens, like this one, was just plain DUMB!

I could never understand how Willard's remark became such a big thing. He was just repeating what is the truth. In any national election absent unusual factors such as LBJ-BG in ‘64 or Reagan both times about 90% of those voting have their minds made up by nomination time. Election pivot on a small slice of the undecideds. Or at least that was so until the last election in which enough people who normally vote Dem decided to shift. But what was so horrendous about Willard's remark? Other than the gopers again acted like the spineless turds they are.
