Who cares? The perp attacked then got what he deserved.
I'll remember you.
So, holster up and find a good spot to get in peoples face, so YOU can have a chance to show the world how righteous you are.
Agreed. I did not see the attacker make any additional threatening moves once the shooter pull his gun. What is saw is the attacker put his hands up as if to say, "OK, don't shoot," as he started to back away. Yes, the dead guy was wrong for attacking the shooter and tossing him to the ground, but I saw no further act of aggression in the video to indicate that the shooter had reasonable grounds to believe that he was imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm.
I have news for you: Its not just overpriviledged black men" or "black people" who do this. Almost every day for the last couple of years, I have watched a blond-haired, blued-eyed, white woman park her Mercedes, without a disability tag, in a disability spot when she does her banking at the bank on the first floor of my office building. She's about 40 years old, fit looking, and owns a commercial cleaning and uniform business. Her husband is a scoutmaster and she used to be a den mother. I know she's not disabled because we belong to the same gym and I have seen her work out (advanced yoga and high impact aerobics). There are plenty of non-disabled spots available. And she knows that she is breaking the law (and being a jerk) because when she walks between her car and the bank, she tilts her head down and to the side so that her hair covers her face. She has been confronted several times and her excuses include, "I didn't see the sign," "I'll only be a few minutes," and "You're not handicapped and so I fail to see the problem." Whenever she is confronted, she backs off for a few days, before exercising her "princess privilege" again.
Chillax already
Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton have taught their followers that freedom frees them from any and all responsibilities.
That’s precisely what Communism provides, Freedom from Responsibility. You have a job, because the government gives you one. But still, you have to do what you’re told. And that’s the side these people forget about when talking about the “beauties” of Socialism.
But every single handicapped scofflaw I have observed parking is black. Along with the double parking to chat or pick someone up, when an open parking space is just ahead.
The 'Oaxacan' left-turn where the driver edges out to block traffic on one side of the road until a space open up in the direction he wants to turn seems to be mainly a Mexican thing.
IMHO The Martin/Zimmerman case was not a stand your ground case.
..and..
So, holster up and find a good spot to get in peoples face
I would agree with your statements as assessments of what Drejka was actually doing. And he did it successfully too - within the limits of the law.
He confronted people and risked his own beating or worse, simply to create a situation where he would be fully justified in shooting them under the laws of self-defense.
And he encountered a violent-tempered fool who gave him that justification.
Thx.
It’s odd that it didn’t take months of protests and a kangaroo court trial to settle what happened.
The shooter is on his knees here:
http://scallywagandvagabond.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/Markeis-McGlockton25.jpg
This was observed by de Tocqueville almost 200 years ago— freed blacks picked up the worst traits of their former masters: violence, indolence, and drink. Having been slaves, they mistook the freedom to exercise the vices of their masters for genuine liberty.
Ok, that being said, he did involve himself, and he made no threatening move to the driver. The female gets out of the car and McGlockton comes out of the store and gives Drejka a violent shove, and after Drejka fell, McGlockton advanced towards him. Drejka pulled the gun and McGlocklton backed away, and then Drejka fired. It was 4 to 5 seconds from the time McGlockton shoved Drejka until Drejka fired.
I can see a possibility for Drejka being prosecuted, but I think it would be an uphill case.
