Republicans overwhelmingly back Trump's performance at Putin summit: Poll
Washington Examiner ^ | July 19, 2018 | Katelyn Caralle

The vast majority of Republicans support the way President Trump handled his first summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, according to a new Axios poll.

The poll said 80 percent of Republicans approved of Trump’s performance, while only 8 percent of Democrats feel the same way.

The partisan split could be seen in other things the poll measured. For example, 85 percent of Republicans think the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 elections is “more of a distraction,” while on the other side, 85 percent of Democrats feel that the possibility of coordination between the two entities is a “serious issue.”

“...while only 8 percent of Democrats feel the same way.”

You know, this breaks my heart. Not!

We’ll just MAGA without them, though it’d be nice if they’d stop actively fighting against it.

Best. Election. Ever. EVER! MAGA! :)

What actually upset the left was that the Putin meeting garnished both American and worldwide media coverage. Much of the facts that emanated from Finland had previously been hidden from the majority of the population. The rats along with their media accomplices have successfully shielded much of the truth. The way that Trump handled the press conference went down exploded the many myths of the left. Just the one point Trump made about how he was fairly elected without help from anyone was more than the little commies could swallow.

They keep going back to the same old playbook shtick.

It used to cow other Republicans but Truml isn’t intimidated by it.

To the contrary, he seems to do best when there’s controversy and chaos.

He just enjoys making his enemies angry and he has no fear of them.

"commies now sounding like McCarthyites and Birchers "

LOL! Next thing we'll hear is "Better Dead Than Red" from Pelosi.

Trump shouldn’t have all the reporters on AF1. All he needs is his Press Secretary, and she can answer media questions when they get back.

They can fly wherever they want on their own, but no pressers until back home.

It’s all made up and manufactured. None of its real and it isn’t grassroots sentiment.

People aren’t turning out in fhe streets against the President.

That’s why this has such a short shelf life. Does anyone remember Kavanaugh?

He’s already ancient history.

"That’s 40% approve, 56% disapprove, which is obviously not good, despite how some are trying to spin it."

Let go of your pearls we've been hear many times before, have you forgotten 2015-2016.

“People aren’t turning out in fhe streets against the President.”

They’ve got jobs.

It’s hard to get time to take part in a riot when you are working 8 hours a day.

A majority disapproved of Reagan’s performance in Reykjavik at first. The hawks were even more outraged than the liberals.

the Better question would be “How many watched the Putin Summit” and “what did you think of it” . If you just watched the media’s coverage to it then you’re obviously going to have a more negative reaction.

"They are clinically insane."

While that may or may not be a facetious comment, I think there's a lot of truth to it.

The utter irrationality of how Democrats and the left see the world has often left me wondering if it isn't because of some kind of chemical short-circuit in the brain.

Seriously, how can you look at or listen to the likes of Maxine Waters, Bernie Sanders or Jay Behar...all the while nodding your head in approval...and not be mentally unbalanced?

For Trump great numbers.

Hillary was supposed to beat him, remember? Every poll handed her the presidency.

Look who’s in the White House. I don’t trust fake polls.

The never Trumpers are surely ripping their hair out over this sort of news. He’s the most popular President among actual Republicans since probably Reagan. But they hate him, they know the GOP is not supposed to do the things their base want, just pretend to want to do them during elections. But Trump, Trump! He is doing these terrible things we all promised we were going to do! The nerve!

Take that, Newt Gingrich.

I’m not a big fan of Rand Paul, but he’s been one of the few, if not the only voice, appearing on liberal media and defending President Trump’s meeting and remarks with Vladimir Putin.

And he’s been doing so, BRILLIANTLY.

If Russia did indeed “meddle” in our election . . . well, then, I’m glad they did — cause it turned out great and is getting greater!!!

And if they did, and did with negative intentions ...well, the joke’s on them!

And what about illegal immigrant “meddling” in our elections ...I’d say that’s worst travesty!

And how many of the 41% are folks telling the pollster what they understand to be what the pollster wants to hear?

Pre - election polls strongly supported the idea that we would be wailing and gnashing our teeth over President Hillary Rodham Clinton this very day, and those polls were piles of manure...

They’ve gone deranged from losing their grip on power. These are madmen who will resort to anything and ought to be treated as rabid, hostile wild animals.
